‘90 Day Fiancé’ Fans Call Out Steven for ‘Gaslighting’ Alina After Flirting With Girls Online
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans think that after Alina called Steven out for his flirtations online with other girls, he attempted to ‘gaslight’ her into thinking she was wrong. Alina set up Steven to find out just how far he takes his flirtatious conversations, and it turns out he fell for the bait. But instead of admitting, he tries to make her feel bad for testing his fidelity.
Alina calls Steven out for talking to girls online
Before coming to Turkey, Alina had her friend, Masha, flirt with Steven online to see if he would take the bait. And he did and messaged Masha back not once but twice with flirtations. Alina knew about this and was waiting for the right time to confront him about it. In the third discussion about Steven deleting his social media account, Alina finally decided to come clean about the test she put Steven through. A test that he failed.
She said, “I put you on a test with my friend and I asked her to flirt with you, just to make sure that you [are] not going to cheat on me.” Steven is mad, saying, “You tried setting me up?” Then asks Alina, “You sent her?” Alina tells him, “Yes, and you didn’t tell me about her, which means you lied again.”
Steven immediately tries to downplay his flirting with Masha, saying, “We didn’t really even talk. It was like one or two messages.” Then he says it’s “offensive” that Alina would “set him up for failure.” Alina revealed that the conversation consisted of Steven inviting Masha to Utah, then taking it a step further and inviting her to Turkey to be with him there. He even asked if she had a swimsuit. However, Steven said inviting her to Turkey was just a “kind” gesture.
Fans think Steven ‘gaslights’ Alina
The scene between Alina and Steven made many 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans angry. One Reddit user posted a photo of Steven with the caption, “I’m not crazy, right? This dude is straight toxic & manipulative.” One fan commented, “He is just looking for an excuse to keep his social media and is gaslighting her. What an a—hole.”
One 90 Day Fiancé fan commented that Steven is a “professional gaslighter.” Another user wrote, “He thinks he can manipulate the audience the way he manipulates Alina.” Many other fans agreed with this writing, “And then he gaslighted her afterwards.”
Will Steven ever delete his social media?
Alina asked Steven to delete his social media accounts when they first arrived in Turkey. But Steven has been making excuse after excuse as to why he cany delete his social media yet. She reminded him that he needed to follow through with his actions. On the Oct 24 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Alina asks him again but is met with more excuses.
Finally, she told him that she could not trust him if he couldn’t delete his social media accounts. Steven admits to the cameras, “I’m regretting promising Alina that I’m gonna delete my social media because now she’s constantly on my back about it. And I feel that her asking me to delete it is coming from a place of insecurity rather than a place of wanting our relationship to be in a better place.”
Steven might think he’s smooth with his lying and gaslighting, but it appears that Alina isn’t falling for his lies and gaslighting. 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans are desperately hoping that Alina will go back to Russia and forget about Steven.
