’90 Day Fiancé’: Fans Compare Andrei Castravet and Elizabeth Potthast’s Brother’s Argument to the Blow-Up Between Chantel Everett’s Brother and Pedro Jimeno
On 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Andrei Castravet and Elizabeth Potthast are in Moldova for their second wedding, and things have been extremely tense. Elizabeth’s father, Chuck, and her brother, Charlie, arrived for the wedding and proceeded to ask some questions about Andrei’s past. They really want to know more about why Andrei left his job as a police detective to move to Ireland, where he met Elizabeth.
The arguing gets so heated at dinner with Andrei’s friends and family, that Andrei and Charlie almost get into a physical fight. It has prompted some 90 Day Fiancé fans to compare the argument to the heated altercation between the Family Chantel’s River and Pedro Jimeno.

Andrei and Elizabeth take Chuck and Charlie out to a nice restaurant where they meet up with Andrei’s friends and family. The dinner begins well, but quickly spirals into a major argument. There’s some drinking involved, which probably exasperates matters. Charlie asks Andrei’s friend if Andrei’s a “trouble-maker.” He says they all were as kids. Charlie then asks what made Andrei come to Ireland, and his friend says he doesn’t remember. Chuck and Charlie are trying to get answers about Andrei’s past, which makes the whole dinner more awkward.
They inquire about what Andrei did in Ireland for work. Andrei is clearly not trying to hear it. When Charlie mentions that from their eyes, it seems like Andrei moved to Ireland to get to America, things escalate. Andrei tells him to shut up, and he thinks Elizabeth’s family is asking too many questions. Andrei says Charlie can talk to him outside, and they both get up. They get in each other’s faces, but things get broken up before they get more physical.

That isn’t the only fight in 90 Day Fiancé history that fans have been known to talk about. When Pedro Jimeno’s sister Nicole arrives in Atlanta to stay with him and his wife, Chantel Everett, there are problems from the start. Chantel wants Nicole to sleep on the couch, but Nicole isn’t going for it.
Chantel tells her family about what’s going on, and she says she heard Nicole make a comment when she left the apartment earlier. There is already tension between the families from previous encounters, so when Chantel’s family has Pedro and his sister over for dinner, a fight breaks out.
The comment is brought up, but Nicole says that never happened. Pedro eventually stands up, and so does River, Chantel’s brother. River hits the light fixture hanging from the ceiling, and suddenly Pedro is walking over to River’s side of the table. An altercation breaks out, and everyone gets involved trying to break it up. Pedro and Nicole leave after things get physical, and Chantel cries hysterically at the turn of events.

Fans can’t help but compare the two fights together. A fan recently posted on Reddit comparing the very similar situations. “That fight wasn’t nearly as good as the Family Chantel’s,” the post is titled. Fans commented with their own 2 cents about the fights.
One fan says Pedro and River “delivered” during their fight. “Honestly, say what you want about River and Pedro but at least they delivered, unlike Charlie and Andrei who just keep barking behind a fence at one another,” a fan wrote on Reddit.
Another fan thinks the fight between Pedro and River was the “highlight” of the Family Chantel’s time on-camera. “I think that was the highlight for the Family Chantel,” a fan said. “They peaked there and can’t outdo themselves after that. And I’m not sure we’ll ever get to witness another family fight as good as that one in the 90 Day universe.”
A fan thinks the Family Chantel outshines the competition when comparing fights. “It’s funny how usually people are ripping on the Family Chantel, but here they outshone the competition,” the fan hilariously wrote.
One fan isn’t looking forward to all the footage of Andrei and Charlie’s fight over and over again, just like they showed between Pedro and River. “The worst part of the Andrei fight is that we are going to have to watch this same footage over and over just like what they did with the River/Pedro fight. They are going to milk it forever,” a fan said about the situation.
