While in the United States, Ariela gave Biniyam an ultimatum — either he comes to Kenya or break up. He decided to try to fix his relationship with Ariela and agreed to move to Kenya temporarily. While it’s not a permanent solution, Ariela feels more comfortable being in a “neutral” environment for both of them while they work on their relationship.
It has been a rough few months for both Ariela and Biniyam. Ariela received many messages from Biniyam’s family and friends, saying that he hung out with women while Ariela was away. Biniyam was praying a lot to cope with Ariela, and his son, Avi, were gone. Now, Biniyam and Ariela are in Kenya, attempting to fix their relationship.

On the 90 Day Fiancé Reddit, a fan posted a screenshot of the Nov 14 episode showing many horizontal cuts along the front of her arm. The cuts appear to be self-harm scars. The Reddit post reads, “Did you guys notice these cuts on Ari’s arm from Sunday night’s episode? So sad.”
Fans pointed out that this was the first time Ariela’s cuts were noticeable all season. She was away from Biniyam for over two and a half months while getting medical attention for their son, Avi. During this time, she suspected that Biniyam was cheating on her. The relationship went from bad to worse when Biniyam refused to pick up her phone calls. She admitted that it was a tough time for her.

On top of the cutting, 90 Day Fiancé fans also noticed that she also lost a lot of weight. One Reddit user commented, “[I] can’t imagine featuring in the franchise is good for anyone’s mental health, much less someone who is still suffering as much as it seems like she is.”
Another fan wrote, “Yes, she does suffer from mental health issues – I suspect this is why mom is with her everywhere.” Another 90 Day Fiancé fan commented, “I think this is why Janice went to Kenya with her to meet Biniyam. Ari is emotionally fragile, and she was afraid of how she would react if the meeting [in] Kenya didn’t go well.”
Some fans said that the scars looked like they were years old, and others think the lighting makes it look fresh.
