’90 Day Fiancé’: Fans Doubt Paul Staehle’s Broken Glass Claims After Dairy Queen Incident
90 Day Fiancé couple Paul Staehle and Karine Martins have been in the news lately, but not for their appearances on the latest season of the TLC franchise. Instead, it’s been due to some alarming claims from both reality stars about the nature of their relationship as a couple, and as parents. Karine Martins fled Staehle’s home and filed a police report claiming he sexually assaulted her, among other things. Staehle then claimed Martins put glass in his food. However, this isn’t the first time Staehle has made this claim — last time, it was against Dairy Queen.
Karine Martins says she’s safe after leaving
When Karine Martins fled Paul Staehle’s home with baby Pierre, Staehle started asking fans on Instagram to provide any information they might have about her whereabouts. He claimed the sheriff had visited his home and told him they’re searching for Martins.
However, shortly after leaving, Martins reported to fans that she’s safe with Pierre, and that the police know her location. The 90 Day Fiancé star took to her Instagram story to let fans know she’s okay.
“I want you all to know that me and Pierre are doing well now. All this past days I had a lot going on. As the media showed, I had issues where the police was called because I feared for my life and my son’s life which led me to ask for help and ultimately be rescued from an environment that no longer was healthy for none of us involved in the situation [sic],” wrote Martins.
“I’m getting the best help I could ever get and I’m really thankful for all the people involved in it. I also thank all the people that worry about me for the support I have had. It have been a big part of my recovery [sic],” added Martins.
She then reassured fans that the police are aware of her location.
“Relationships are hard and sometimes it just can’t be fixed anymore. I need this time to organize my thoughts, work on myself and care for my son after everything we have been through in the last year and half. Just to clarify, the [protective order] was me, I had help from a translator since I do not speak English. I also would like to state that I’m not missing. The police know where to find me if they need me. This is a legal matter not a ‘media matter.’ That being said it’s the first and last time I will speak about it. Thank you all again, Karine,” she concluded.
Paul Staehle claimed Karine Martins put glass in his food
After Karine Martins left, Paul Staehle began making a variety of claims about her behavior in recent times. The 90 Day Fiancé star even claimed that Karine Martins has been putting glass in his food.
“I previously found glass in my food. I found similar glass shards form an item she broke,” claimed Staehle in court documents obtained by Us Weekly. He went on to claim that Martins’ friends have been threatening to kill him or take baby Pierre from him.
’90 Day Fiancé’ don’t trust Paul Staehle after DQ incident
However, this is not the first time the 90 Day Fiancé star has claimed he’s found glass shards in his food. Several months ago, Staehle made a post on Facebook claiming that he found glass shards in a Blizzard he purchased from Dairy Queen.
90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates screencapped the post and shared it to his Instagram recently. The post includes photos of glass shards, and reads, “This was in my blizzard today? First I thought it was ice or chewed it cup up my mouth accidentally swallowed some been having internal pains. I pray this passes through my system [sic].” Staehle went on to add that he’s afraid to go get his stomach checked out due to COVID-19.
Fans of the show were quick to call Staehle out. Many seemed to think that this is a tactic of Staehle’s.
One user commented on Instagram, “So first it was DQ and then it was his wife. Suuuuure. He constantly wants attention. He needs professional help.”
“This makes no sense. As a nurse, if I was triaging him, I’d put in a psych consultant after the CT. Too many red flags in this. Probably why he won’t seek professional help. COVID indeed. I think an abdominal bleed kill you faster!” added another user.
“Uh, did he wash it off before he took this picture? This makes ZERO sense!” another fan opined.
