’90 Day Fiancé’ Fans Shocked By Big Ed’s Daughter Following Tell-All
90 Day Fiancé star Big Ed has become one of the most controversial figures on the hit TLC franchise. Many fans were disgusted with how the middle-aged American man treated 23-year-old Rose Vega, his Filipina love interest. To make matters worse, Ed dropped a shocking comment about how little he values his adult daughter during the Tell All episode. Despite what Big Ed had to say, and despite how he treated Vega, his daughter, who is older than Vega, continues to support him. And fans are not here for it.
Fans feel Big Ed treated Rose Vega like a child
Many 90 Day Fiancé fans have been turned off by Big Ed’s behavior towards Rose Vega during his season of the hit TLC franchise. Notably, Ed felt compelled to tell Vega she had bad breath, and that she needed to shave her legs.
After an awkward night spent together in a hotel room, during which Big Ed tried to finagle a kiss from a clearly unenthused Vega, he told her that she had hairy legs. “Um, don’t be mad at me, but um, I noticed your legs were kind of like mine, they were hairy. Would you shave your legs?” asked Ed.
He later gifted her a toothbrush and mouthwash, telling her, “I got you a couple more things. This is going to be less romantic. So, this is mouthwash. And I got you a cute toothbrush because your breath is not pretty.” Rose explained she brushes every day and has bad breath due to a stomach ulcer, before storming out.
One Redditor said of Ed’s behavior, “He speaks to her in that fake-soft voice like she’s a tween. She’s a 23 year old woman with a son. Caloocan is in Metro Manila, and she’s obviously internet savvy and speaks English.”
Another added, “I hate how he talks to her like a baby. ‘These are clothes. For outside. the beach. This is for your top!’ Like, [of course] she knows what a bikini is. She lives in the Philippines [for f*ck’s sake]. Not some secluded, never been contacted village on K2.”
Big Ed says he’d drop his daughter for Rose Vega
Big Ed hadn’t been on great terms with his daughter prior to the season of 90 Day Fiancé, and he met up with her to make amends when things fell through with Rose Vega.
At the time, he told her, “I was selfish, and I’m sorry. One thing I definitely want you to know is that you were and are and have always been the love of my life…and I did realize, well, I probably flushed that all down the toilet. And that’s what scared me the most. But for what it’s worth, I’m sorry for not listening to you and that I hurt you.”
However, fans were shocked when, during the Tell All, Big Ed suggested he’d give up his growing relationship with his daughter again, just to have another chance at Rose Vega. Then, when his daughter appeared on the Tell All, he did a complete 180.

90 Day Fiancé fans were shocked when Big Ed’s daughter decided to defend him against Rose Vega and fans during the Tell All. Many were left wondering if she had watched the same season they did.
One Redditor wrote, “I get why she wouldn’t want to believe her dad is that gross old dude who’s attracted to very young Asian women…. I get it, it’s all fun and games to watch until it’s YOUR dad.”
Another added, “Defending your dad on TV isn’t going to make him the father you want or deserve. I hope she gets therapy and cuts ties with him.”
One commenter suggested Ed’s daughter was taking out her frustration on Vega. “She needs to go to therapy and stop fighting for the father she doesn’t have. As the saying goes, when they (your dad) shows you who they are believe them. Over here taking her hurt out on Rose when you should be holding your dad with more accountability,” they wrote.
