’90 Day Fiancé’: Geoffrey Explains Why He Took Mary out to Dinner
The last episode of 90 Day Fiancé showed Geoffrey Paschel taking Mary Wallace out to dinner. They were later interrupted when Varya Malina shows up at his door.
Paschel talked about being open to dating again after his breakup with Malina in the episode. But there is another reason he took her out to dinner that night.

The season started with Paschel going to Russia to meet Malina and pursue their relationship. That took a turn when he came clean about his past. He told her he went to prison for dealing drugs.
They still continued their relationship and he proposed. Malina told him that she wasn’t ready to get married and wanted to continue getting to know each other. Paschel ended up leaving Russia and told her that their relationship was over.
In the episode “The Pleasure Principle,” Paschel reconnected with Wallace back in Knoxville. They had an important conversation about their future together over dinner.
“When I left Russia it was kind of depressing,” he said. “But I just don’t think I should hold back anymore. I think I should really explore what’s out there for me and you know when I was here with Mary she really actually said ‘Why not me?’”
At the dinner, he asked her if she wanted to continue to be friends or be something more. Wallace said she wants something more as long as he’s no longer in contact with Malina.
Paschel claimed that he hasn’t been in contact with her and it seemed to be true. However, Malina tried to win him back by showing up at his home uninvited and the episode ended with Wallace being there with him.
He took her out to dinner for her birthday
The episode made it seem like dinner between them was a date. However, it was in celebration of Wallace’s birthday.
“It was Mary’s birthday, that’s why I took her to dinner, that’s why I gave her flowers,” Paschel revealed on The Domenick Nati Show. “The conversation moved into something more romantic and it kind of went from there. Then pretty much Varya showed up the next day. So it was like a quick, spontaneous thing going.”
He also claimed that it had been three months from his breakup with Malina by the time he went to dinner. Paschel also explained why Wallace was at her house.
“We hung out that night. She came over, drank a little bit so I didn’t let her drive kind of thing. And you know we hung out,” he said.
