’90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After’: Angela Gets a Crushing Phone Call On Her Wedding Night
Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi are finally getting married on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?. But in a sneak peek for the upcoming episode, Angela gets a crushing phone call from her family, just hours after saying “I do.”
Angela has been missing her family all season on ’90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?’
As seen on this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Angela travels to Nigeria to marry Michael in hopes she can get him into the U.S. on a spousal visa. From the venue to the flowers, she’s been planning every detail of the wedding. But through it all, her heart has been with her family.
“I’m really heartbroken that no one in my family is able to attend my wedding here in Nigeria,” she says in one episode. “This wedding ain’t gonna be easy for me at all.”
When her big day finally arrives, Angela feels the absence of her family even more. Her best friend Jojo is with her for support, but she still wishes her loved ones could be there.
“I’m getting married today,” she tells producers. “We’re getting ready to tie the knot here in Nigeria, but this is not how I envisioned it — I thought I would have my mom, my grandkids, my daughter to help me get ready. I’m so grateful to Jojo, but honestly, it’s just not the same.”

Earlier on this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Angela talks to her mom about going to Nigeria to marry Michael. She tells producers that her mom has pneumonia and that she’s concerned about her health.
“The most exciting thing for her life is to see me get married,” Angela laments. “And she can’t be a part of it.”
And on her wedding day, when Michael tries to reassure Angela that her mom will see her get married for their wedding ceremony in America, she says she isn’t sure if her mom will make it.
“My mom’s sick,” she tells him. “How do we know momma can attend the wedding a year from now?”

In a sneak peek for the upcoming episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Angela and Michael are enjoying their first hours as husband and wife. “Me and Michael have some hurdles in our future, but damned it, I just got married,” Angela says in a confessional. “So tonight, I just want to spend some newlywed time with my husband. I just hope Michael is ready for this.”
But later in the clip, Angela looks visibly upset as she tells cameras about a crushing late-night call she received. She says her daughter, Skyla, called her to give her news about her mother.
“Tonight my daughter Skyla called me and all I can understand [of] what she’s saying is grandma, my mom, is unresponsive,” Angela says to the camera. “An ambulance is there, so I won’t know more until Skyla calls me. And at this point I can’t get a hold of her so, I don’t know.”
Viewers will get to see how Angela and Michael’s nuptials and wedding night unfolded as this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? continues. New episodes air Sundays on TLC.
