’90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After’: Jess’ Dad Thinks Colt Might Be Using His Daughter
Colt Johnson finally got to meet Jess Caroline’s family in Brazil on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After. But he didn’t get the warmest reception from her father. Over dinner, Jess’ dad actually suggested Colt might just be using his daughter to pass time.
Jess tells Colt that her dad’s approval is important on ’90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After’
Things aren’t going very smoothly for Jess and Colt on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After. Jess already suspects that Colt is lying about his relationship with Vanessa, which he admits that he is. And within the first two days of their trip, Colt’s mother, Debbie, has yelled at Jess, slammed a door on her, and indirectly accused her of using Colt to get a green card.
So, for Jess, a lot is relying on her dad’s opinion of Colt. She’s plainly told Colt that if her father doesn’t approve of him, they can’t be together.
“My dad need to like you,” Jess tells Colt in Episode 2. “Maybe my dad say, ‘No, Colt no good for you. My dad is very important for me. I love you, but I love my dad, and my dad’s more important, sorry. My dad thinks I need good boy for me.”
Colt is nervous about meeting Jess’ dad
On 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, it’s obvious that Colt isn’t being 100 percent honest with Jess. He tells Jess that Vanessa is just a friend, but he hasn’t told her that they were once romantically involved.
However, he insists that his intentions with Jess are pure. And he says he’s nervous about the impression he’ll make on her father.
“It seems like Jess’s father has the final say in any man that Jess dates,” Colt says in a confessional. “I feel like I have a lot of pressure to impress a man I never met and I don’t even speak his language — I’m nervous about meeting Jess’s father, because if her father doesn’t like me, our relationship is over.”
Jess’ Dad questions Colt’s intentions on ’90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After’
On the recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Jess brings Colt and Debbie to her house to meet her daily. They all sit together for dinner, and in a confessional, Jess’ father, Silvio, says he’s unsure of Colt.
“She has never dated an American,” Silvio says. “We have to see if he is man enough to take responsibility for her. If he wants to be with my daughter, he has to man up and marry her and not just fool around.”
Then over dinner, Silvio questions Colt. He asks for details about his marriage and divorce to Larissa Lima. And then he directly asks Colt what his intentions are.
“So like, are you ready for another relationship,” Silvio asks. “Or is it only to pass the time?”
Acting as a translator for her father, Jess then asks Colt if he’s only with her to spite Larissa. And she then straight out questions him, “What do you want with me?”
Colt is definitely in a tough spot, considering Debbie — who is hell-bent on preventing him from marrying another Brazilian girl — is sitting right there. Fans will get to see how the rest of the dinner party unfolded on upcoming episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After.
