’90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?’ fans see Angela and Michael tie the knot in Nigeria

After watching their love story for years, fans finally got to see Angela and Michael say “I do” on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?. The two looked more in love than ever, and they celebrated their wedding in Nigeria with all of Michael’s family in attendance.

Angela’s family wasn’t able to make it, but her best friend Jojo flew in to support her. Being the protective friend that she is, she also wanted to make sure Michael wasn’t just using Angela for a green card.

“I’m the first person to meet Michael that’s part of Angela’s life,” JoJo told producers earlier this season. “It just concerns me what his intentions are, going to the United States. If he’s going to be a good spouse and a good role model to the grandkids — and that he lives up to what he says he’s going to do.”

Angela and Michael thank Jojo for coming to Nigeria on ’90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?’

In the most recent episode, fans saw Angela and Michael plan a special lunch for Jojo. “Today’s Jojo’s last day, and we’re glad she’s going back because she really took time out of her life, and she’s a busy woman as well to do this for us,” Angela says on the show. “And we’re just so thankful that she could be here and get home safe.”

As a witness at Angela’s wedding, Jojo served a crucial role. But she was also the only person from Angela’s life there to look out for her. “I was excited to be able to come and be a part of everything,” Jojo says.

Jojo grills Michael about his intentions

At the lunch, Jojo talks to Michael about her various concerns. For starters, she says she was worried about their sex life, but after learning that the two had a fun night, she felt relieved.

After Michael admits that marriage feels like a “new beginning,” Jojo wants to know what his next steps are. “Once she gets back to the States, we are thinking of meeting our lawyer,” Michael says. “So we will know what to do and what next [steps] to take to get the spousal visa.”

But even after the wedding, Jojo is still worried about Michael’s intentions. She asks him directly if he plans to leave Angela after getting a green card.

“Of course, yes, I will stay with her now, I mean, she’s my wife,” Michael tells Jojo, seemingly stunned by her comment. “I mean, we’ve been together for a long time. Of course, I will definitely stay with her. She’s my wife, she’s part of me.”

“I am a little bit upset with the green card question because typically most people think I’m after the green card,” he then tells producers. “Generally, that’s what people believe. Being a Nigerian marrying a white older woman, he or she is after a green card, but I am not. I am truly in love with her and I want to be with her. And that’s for the green card or not.”

Jojo admits to Michael that she’s still skeptical of his commitment to Angela because she doesn’t see him “focusing on her.” But Angela quickly comes to Michael’s defense and confesses she gets upset with him over things most women wouldn’t because she lives so far away.

“Yes, I do love her, and I will stay by her” Michael once again reassures Jojo. “We are together, okay? I’m not doing all of this for the green card. And it’s my responsibility now to make her happy.”
