Babygirl Lisa Hamme and Usman Umar have been through quite the drama-filled journey in their relationship, and luckily, fans have been front row center for it all. Throughout their time on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, the two fought almost constantly. Now, Umar has filed for divorce. How does Hamme feel about the impending end of her union?
Lisa was always worried about Usman
Hamme has claimed that she gets a lot of scammers that try to contact her on her social media pages. When she met Umar, she was worried that he would just be another scammer. But because she met him through a mutual friend, she decided to give it a chance.
“We met online,” Hamme said in an interview with Without a Crystal Ball. “We met through a mutual friend out of the UK. I knew her, she knew him, and he was looking for a female companion. And I just knew her reputation, I’m like, uh, I don’t know about this…but send him through my filtered messaging, and I’ll see what it’s about.”
She ran Umar through a series of tests to ensure that he was not scamming her.
“I was 49 and Usman was 29 when we first met,” she said. “And when we first met, I’ll be honest with you…I honestly thought, oh, great, another yahoo boy out of Nigeria that’s going to harass me to no end. And I gave him the benefit of the doubt because I don’t like that stigma.”
Lisa and Usman’s breakup
Before the reunion even aired, it was clear that Hamme and Umar were on rocky footing. Leaked footage from the tell-all event revealed that Hamme had even called Umar the N-word. Recently, Hamme announced that the two had split.
“He used me,” she said on Instagram live. “He married me just to be on a TV show that people would recognize his name to sell his music. I tried to work with him, his brothers tried to work with him. He thinks it’s just him, he thinks he’s going to do what he wants and he’s never going to apologize for anything he’s ever said bad about me. He’s posing as what you call a romance scam, which is very illegal in Nigeria. It puts that stigma back onto Nigeria again and that’s what I didn’t want to do.”
Shortly after the announcement, Umar claimed that Hamme stole his $26,000 check from Cameo and was refusing to give him his money.

After going back and forth on social media about several things including the mishandled money, Hamme recently revealed that Umar has filed for divorce.
During an interview with The Domenick Nati Show, Hamme said that while she hasn’t received any official divorce papers, she has heard that Umar has been telling people that he filed for divorce. Right now, she is just waiting to receive the official paperwork.
Hamme is surprisingly OK with the idea of divorcing Umar.
“My heart and my mind have been fighting back and forth, but my mind is taking over and letting me know I’ll be happy to receive my divorce papers,” she told Nati.
