After a tumultuous season, Lisa and her husband, Usman “Sojaboy” Umar appear to be on the verge of a divorce. But Lisa might have one trick up her sleeve that could save her marriage. The reality star plans on having a child with Usman in a last-ditch effort to salvage their relationship.
Inside Lisa and Usman’s relationship issues on ’90 Day Fiancé’
Lisa and Usman appeared very much in love when fans first met them in season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. But the couple experienced major issues when Lisa flew out to Nigeria to spend time with Usman.
For starters, Usman admitted that he was not completely satisfied with Lisa, who is not the easiest person to get along with. Whenever they got into an argument, Lisa tended to erupt in anger and flee the scene instead of working things out.
It also didn’t help that Lisa got very jealous of Usman, who is a relatively famous rapper in Nigeria. Their relationship almost imploded after Lisa found out that Usman had told an adoring fan that he loved her on social media.
Despite all of their issues, the pair got things together enough to tie the knot in front of the 90 Day Fiancé cameras. While Usman was working on getting his visa to come to the United States, their marriage suffered more setbacks when they were apart.
Usman and Lisa have both admitted that their relationship is on the rocks. Although a divorce may be in the cards, Lisa’s drama with Usman is the least of her worries.
The ’90 Day Fiancé’ star stirs up trouble on social media
Footage from the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days tell-all leaked online several weeks in advance of the premiere. In the leaked footage, Usman revealed that Lisa has used the n-word on multiple occasions.
“Lisa, last week you called me ni**er, which I know is totally inappropriate in America. You called me ni**er; I don’t even get angry about it because I am used to how you are behaving,” Usman shared in the tell-all.
The revelation shocked fans, many of whom demanded that TLC cut ties with Lisa altogether. Although she still appeared in the tell-all, the network cut the clip about the n-word (a decision that also stirred up drama with disgruntled 90 Day Fiancé fans).
Lisa has since apologized to fans for her use of the racial slur. But after TLC faced mounting pressure on social media, the network reportedly fired Lisa and is not planning on bringing her back in future seasons.
Host Shaun Robinson revealed on social media that the situation regarding Lisa was “being handled” behind the scenes. And shortly after her post, Lisa shared a photo of herself with duct tape wrapped around her mouth.
It is unclear if TLC already paid Lisa for appearing on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, but sources claim that she will not appear in any of the franchise’s spin-offs, including Strikes Back.
Lisa reveals how she is going to save her marriage
Lisa’s marriage may be falling apart at the moment, but she has one more move that might prevent a divorce. According to The Hollywood Gossip, Lisa revealed on The Domenick Nati Show that she wants to have Usman’s child.
At the age of 53, the chances of Lisa having a baby are pretty slim. In the event that she cannot conceive, Lisa said that she is open to Usman taking a younger wife, just as long as she remains his top priority and gives her a home.
Lisa made sure to clarify that she is not pregnant with Usman’s child. Usman is still living in Nigeria and will not be able to come to the US until he secures a proper visa.
Usman has not commented on the baby rumors. He did, however, say that he married Lisa because he felt sorry for her and that love had nothing to do with it.
New episodes from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise air Sunday and Monday nights on TLC.
