’90 Day Fiancé: Is David Murphey Coming Back to the Show with Lana?
David Murphey had a wild ride on his season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. From the beginning of his season, everyone was convinced that his girlfriend Lana was a catfish but in the biggest shock of the season, she turned out to be real. Lana and Murphey ended their season engaged and have largely faded away from reality tv since. But is Murphey making a return?
David was looking for a Ukrainian wife
Murphey didn’t meet Lana by chance. In fact, he put a lot of effort into finding a foreign woman.
“When the internet was brand new a tenant of mine showed me a website where you could meet Russian and Filipino women,” he wrote to a fan in an Instagram Q&A. “I had an interest in Russians. Within months, the Ukrainian women on the site outnumbered the Russians. I went to both countries. A few years later, Ukraine became more Western-like and you didn’t even need a visa to go there. Russia requires a visa and you have to register everywhere you go. It was just harder to travel in.”
So, for over a decade, Murphey only dated Ukrainian women.
“I stopped dating in the USA 15 years ago,” he wrote. “Every time I did I would start thinking about Ukraine, so I stopped trying so my heart was free just in case I went to Ukraine. I have dated well over 100 women in Ukraine. Turned down many marriage proposals and have been turned down twice myself.”
David and Lana’s relationship
Murphey tried to meet up with Lana multiple times but every time she just stood him up. It got to the point where Murphey started getting concerned that she might not have been who she said she was. In order to find out Lana’s identity, Murphey hired a private investigator. The investigator informed him that Lana was on multiple dating sites and probably was not being honest with him.
Despite all of that, Murphey flew to Ukraine one last time. This time Lana actually did meet him and the two got engaged.
At the reunion, Murphey didn’t seem like he knew where he and Lana stood.
“Right now, I would say we are not together,” he said. “I’m not going to say we won’t be together in the future. She’s under way too much stress with what’s going on with the show. And the people who bother her. I told her that’s part your fault, you can get off.”
Are David and Lana coming back to ’90 Day Fiancé’?
Recently, Murphey retired from his job and set his sights on finally traveling around in an RV as he had always wanted to do. However, when a fan asked if he had actually bought the RV, Murphey alluded to a seperate project.
“No, I haven’t bought the RV yet. I’m not gonna say anything especially about that because that’s in a future show,” he said in a comment captured by Monsters And Critics.
He didn’t elaborate any further but it sounds like we may be seeing Murphey back on our screens soon.
