’90 Day Fiancé’: Is Jay Smith Claiming Ashley Martson Lied About Divorce?
By now 90 Day Fiancé fans should know that just when they think Ashley Martson and Jay Smith are finished with their drama, something else is bound to pop up. In November of 2019, Ashley Martson claimed the couple was finally officially divorced. However, Jay Smith recently posted a message to his Instagram story that has fans scratching their heads. Based on what he wrote, it seems as if the couple might not be divorced yet after all.
The ‘90 Day Fiancé’ couple briefly got back together
Ashley Martson and Jay Smith are the gift that keeps on giving when it comes to 90 Day Fiancé drama. In the summer of 2019, the two quietly got back together again — a move that shocked fans when it became public knowledge.
Unfortunately, it seems as if Jay Smith may have cheated on Ashley Smith again, if she’s to be believed. During a chat with InTouch Weekly, Ashley Martson said, “I’m a big believer in following your heart and it is true that I took Jay back once again. I know people will judge me and, while I can accept that, it was ultimately my decision.”
The 90 Day Fiancé star added, “However, what my friend is saying turned out to be true and Jay confirmed it himself on the phone that he did indeed have another girl who is claiming he got her pregnant.”
“He said he doesn’t believe her but they are going to get a test done and regardless it’s clear he cheated on me. I am distraught yet again and am picking up the pieces and doing my best to move on. I know that I only have myself to blame for the situation I’m in again. It’s no one’s fault but my own. I can safely say I am, once and for all, done with Jay,” concluded Martson.
Ashley Martson claimed she and Jay Smith divorced
After her tumultuous summer with Jay Smith, Ashley Martson took to Instagram to claim she and her 90 Day Fiancé ex had finally fully divorced.
In November, she shared on her Instagram story, “Today’s a good day! I’m Officially a single Woman!!! I’m single again, Figured I would Update everyone since it’s the most frequent asked Question. He finally signed [sic].”
In a now-deleted post, Martson shared additional feelings. The Hollywood Gossip reported that she wrote, “I feel like a failure. I tried all I could. It was just broken beyond repair. My last post may sound like I’m happy, which I am to put this chapter behind me, but it’s a hard pill to swallow.”
She added, “I didn’t think I would [be] married [and] divorced at such a young age. I appreciate everyone’s support through this Journey. My page will no longer represent my marriage or the show from this point forward. I just want it all behind me. Thanks again to everyone who supported me and reached out to me during this Mess with kind words. It truly means a lot! I’m grateful [for] the love.”
Jay Smith says it’s a lie
However, Jay Smith recently took to Instagram to report that the divorce is a lie. In a Q&A session, a fan asked if the two finally divorced, and why they didn’t work things out. John Yates captured the story, and posted a picture here.
Smith replied, “Heads up we are not that was a lie I just found out a couple of days ago [sic].”
Yates also captured one of Martson’s posts on her story, that seemed to reference her relationship with Smith. In the post, Martson wrote, “I feel like I’m at a traveling circus, on a carousel trapped by an evil clown, and I can’t get off no matter how hard I try to!”
