’90 Day Fiancé’: Jessica’s Friends Worry Juan Can’t Be Trusted
Is Juan ready to change his life? In the new season of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé, the cruise ship worker from Colombia trades his carefree lifestyle for some serious responsibility.
After meeting Jessica on a cruise in 2020, Juan is moving to Wyoming to be with her and their child. (She also has two other kids from a previous marriage.) But Jessica fears that Juan isn’t ready to make the transition into instant, full-time parent. Plus, she’s also dealing with some serious trust issues after another woman told her Juan had been unfaithful. Juan insists that he never stepped out on Jessica, but will his eye wander to greener pastures when he finds himself stuck in small-town America?
Jessica is ‘nervous’ about Juan’s move to Wyoming
In the 90 Day Fiancé Season 11 premiere, Jessica opened up about her hopes and fears around Juan’s big move to the U.S.
“I’m a little bit nervous,” she admitted in the show’s Feb. 16 episode, noting that Juan was likely to be shocked by “how dead” the small Wyoming town of Torrington really is.
“It’s gonna be a huge change for him. He’s used to the party life on the cruise,” she added.
It’s not just the lack of exciting nightlife that could be a problem. Juan will also have to adjust to being a full-time dad.
“I think he has a lot to learn,” Jessica said.
The ’90 Day Fiancé’ cast member’s friends are skeptical of Juan’s intentions
Despite some concerns, Jessica is hopeful things will work out between her and Juan. But she admits that her friends are “skeptical” the relationship will last – and for good reason.
“About eight months after Juan and I had been engaged, a lady reached out to me and said she had met Juan on a cruise and that they had hooked up,” Jessica shared. “I was really confused by it.”
At the time, Juan denied the woman’s accusations.
“Juan was trying to reassure me … that it didn’t happen,” she said, adding that she was “trying to move past all that.”
Meanwhile, Juan has his own fears about moving to the U.S. and settling down with Jessica. After reuniting with Jessica at the airport in Denver, Juan was thrilled to be together again with her and his son.
“I’m just really, really, really happy,” he said. “I still can’t believe I’m here.”
But in an interview with 90 Day producers, he confessed to having some doubts about taking on “such a big responsibility.”
“Am I good enough for this?” he wondered. “Am I ready to be a stepfather and a father?”
90 Day Fiancé Season 11 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC. Episodes also stream on Max.
