’90 Day Fiancé’: Leida Margaretha Granted Restraining Order Against Eric Rosenbrook’s Daughter Tasha
Leida Margaretha and Eric Rosenbrook of 90 Day Fiancé fame have raised a lot of eyebrows since they started seeing each other. Fans were shocked both at the rapid pace the couple moved at, and at both Leida and Eric’s actions and behavior in regard to Eric’s daughter, Tasha. Now, Leida Marghareta has successfully managed to place a 4-year restraining order against Tasha, and it looks like Eric doesn’t plan on helping.
Who are Leida and Eric?
Leida Margaretha is a 29-year-old Jakarta, Indonesia native. She arrived in the U.S. for Season 6 of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé, and met up with Eric Rosenbrook, 41. Rosenbrook is a former Marine, with three daughters, including Tasha. Leida also has a child, a son.
Only two days after meeting face-to-face for the first time, Leida and Eric decided to get engaged. However, Leida and Tasha did not get along. Tasha often pushed back against Leida when she argued with Eric, which Leida did not appreciate.
No backup from her father
In one very controversial 90 Day Fiancé episode, Eric Rosenbrook decided to acquiesce to Leida Margaretha’s demands and kicked his then-teenage daughter out of his apartment.
In the episode, Eric talks about family, telling Leida, “In America, family is what matters. And it’s everybody, even kids from a different marriage.”
“Then I don’t want to get married then!” said Leida.
Later, Tasha exploded at Leida for tugging her father around. “If you’re going to threaten to leave him, get the f*ck out of my country,” said Tasha.
Despite his daughter’s support, Eric decided to kick her out regardless, taking Leida’s side against his family’s. He then proceeded to help Leida fill out the paperwork that would help her get a restraining order processed against Tasha. So much for “family is what matters.”
As a result of the restraining order, Tasha is prevented from harassing or contacting Leida over social media. She can still see her father, but it seems as if that hasn’t happened since the incident at the apartment.
Tasha says she’s struggling emotionally
According to Tasha, life has been emotionally challenging since her father kicked her out of the apartment. Tasha added an update to her Instagram story in January, writing, “I can fake a smile. I can fake being friendly. But you know what I can’t fake? I can’t fake the years, heartbreak, and anxiety attacks. I can’t fake keeping people up at night because I’m so hurt I’m physically SCREAMING as the tears stream down my face. I can’t fake going to the hospital for stressing myself so sick and being so depressed I stopped eating for almost two weeks. I can’t fake ripping my hair out and punching my desk because I don’t get what I did to deserve this. So please. NONE of you know anything. So stop acting like you do.”
Tasha’s efforts to thwart the restraining order have failed since then. “Tasha doesn’t have thousands of dollars to take this to the state level and get new evidence presented to a new judge, but that doesn’t mean she’s not going to try to get her security deposit back, Eric,” said Tasha’s new roommate, Jan.
Tasha made it clear that she’s no longer contesting what happened due to financial troubles. She also adds that it’s time to move on for her. “It’s just not worth my mental health anymore,” she said.
