’90 Day Fiancé’: Loren Brovarnik Says She Relates to Elizabeth Potthast Castravet’s Marriage – ‘Don’t I Know That!’
Andrei Castravet, who hails from Moldova, and his wife Elizabeth Potthast Castravet of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé tend to polarize fans.
The doting parents (to baby Eleanor), who now live together in Elizabeth’s home state of Florida, have sometimes been praised for being so head-over-heels in love and infatuated with one another. Meanwhile, others have criticized Andrei for his tendency to be, as Elizabeth called him, “a chauvinistic alpha male.”
In a recent Instagram post, Elizabeth herself joked about Andrei’s tendency to go from one extreme to the other. Her 90 Day Fiancé castmate, Loren Brovarnik – who is married to Alexei Brovarnik from Israel and also lives in Florida, where they parent their young son Shai – said she could relate to the feeling of having a rather hard-headed husband.
Elizabeth joked about Andrei being both ‘sour and sweet’
While Andrei and Elizabeth often clashed on 90 Day Fiancé and 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, they’ve always doted on each other on social media (much like Loren and Alexei).
Elizabeth joked about Andrei’s temper and gruff nature, coupled with his softer attitude toward his wife and daughter, in a recent Instagram post. “First he’s sour,” she captioned the post. “Then he’s sweet.” In a series of photos, Andrei first crossed his arms with a stern look on his face – before getting silly and affectionate with his wife of several years.
Loren seemed to relate to Elizabeth’s post about her marriage. “Don’t I know that! 🤣🤣🤣,” she joked in the comments.
“I bet lololol,” Elizabeth commiserated with her castmate and fellow mom.
Some ’90 Day Fiancé’ fans called Andrei and Elizabeth ‘the cutest couple’ on the show
As usual, Elizabeth and Andrei’s selfies drew both praise and criticism from 90 Day Fiancé fans. Some thought Andrei’s tough-guy persona was endearing, with one referring to him as a “Sour Patch kid.” Others gushed that the couple was “so cute together” and said they were “90 Day Fiancé’s cutest couple.”
Some 90 Day Fiancé fans thought it was sweet that Andrei was so dominant but had such an obvious soft spot for his family.
“He’s definitely a dominant male but there is no doubt he loves you and your daughter!” one Instagram user wrote.
“He’s probably had to be tough all his life, I think you’ve softened him!” another agreed of Elizabeth’s Moldova-born husband. “Y’all are gorgeous.”
Others thought Andrei’s behavior was more ‘toxic’ than ‘sour’
Of course, some 90 Day Fiancé fans weren’t impressed with Elizabeth’s affectionate post. A few viewers pushed back, saying that Andrei’s temper shouldn’t be explained away or joked about.
“And then he gets toxic,” one Instagram user quipped sarcastically in response to Elizabeth’s caption.
“Always with the angry face,” another complained.
A few fans also brought up their familiar complaint about Andrei’s decision to be a stay-at-home dad, which caused a lot of controversy on the show – especially because the couple sometimes had to accept financial help from Elizabeth’s family.
“Hate that he plays the dominant male role but can’t really get a job,” one critic pointed out.
Another wrote similarly, “Are you both not working at the moment? Seems you’re always together taking selfies or out eating.”
As usual, Elizabeth and Andrei didn’t respond to the critics, preferring to stick to the less controversial comments instead.
