’90 Day Fiancé’: Melyza Admits ‘White Boys Was Not Something That I Was Looking For’

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Melyza met Tim when she was 20 years old working as an au pair in America. At the time, she wasn’t looking for a relationship. She wanted a solo adventure and to learn English. But then she met Tim through a mutual friend of theirs.

Melyza wasn’t looking for a ‘white boy’ when she met Tim

“I don’t have a type, but white boys was not something that I was looking for necessarily,” Melyza says in Monday’s episode.

After meeting, Melyza couldn’t help but fall for Tim. She said he was “really nice,” “sweet,” and “goofy.” Tim agrees that his playful demeanor is what eventually “broke her down.”

“You know, I honestly think what made her give me a chance in the very beginning was just that I’m genuine, you know?” he told ET. “I’m goofy as hell. And I’ve really learned to embrace that and accept that about myself. … I think it was just the goofiness and the fact that she was able to see that I was trying and I was being goofy because I don’t have any game. I just have the genuine aspect of my personality.”

Once their relationship progressed, Tim and Melyza knew they wanted to keep seeing each other, despite the distance.

“I definitely saw myself getting married to him and I saw myself having kids with him,” she said.

Tim cheated on Melyza and now he wants to make things right

But then Tim cheated on Melyza with a co-worker.

“When I got to the States to live with him, I kind of, like, felt that something was wrong,” said Melyza.

So she checked his social media and put together what had happened. Before Melyza learned that Tim had cheated on her, she’d planned on moving to Texas to be with him. But, now, she no longer feels comfortable leaving behind her life, friends, and family to be with someone who cheated on her.

“Honestly, I feel like not enough,” Tim said of his actions in June. “And I feel like that’s something the viewers are going to find out about as well is how much did I … how much have I actually been fighting for her, and how much have I been complacent?”

Now, Tim has decided to make the move to Colombia to be with Melyza and prove that he wants to make their relationship work.
