‘90 Day Fiancé’: Mike ‘Doesn’t Know’ If He’s Engaged to Natalie Anymore After His Trip to Ukraine

TLC's '90 Day Fiance' Season 7 stars Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva had a tumultuous time in Ukraine, ending with Natalie returning Mike's ring. Afterward, Mike didn't forgive Natalie as easily and quickly as she might have expected.

Mike Youngquist of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé Season 7 may have headed out to see his Ukrainian fiancee, Natalie Mordovtseva, with hopes of a romantic trip abroad. But the 34-year-old from Washington state had a rude awakening. Mike and Natalie fought it out over everything from religion and trust issues to future children and vegetarianism, making it a stressful trip, to say the least.

After a blowout fight in which Natalie returned Mike’s engagement ring, Mike headed back to the U.S. alone on the Jan. 19 episode, “Blindsided.” The 90 Day Fiancé star even admitted he had doubts about whether the relationship could continue at all after their explosive arguments.

Mike was turned off by Natalie’s ‘childish’ behavior

On the Jan. 12 episode, Natalie admitted she wasn’t truly in love with Mike, leaving him brokenhearted. As he hastily packed his bags for the U.S., she threw her ring at him, hoping for a show of affection. Instead, he quietly packed the ring away and prepared to leave on his own.

Natalie had initially refused to say goodbye to Mike at all, but after a change of heart, she got in the car with him on “Blindsided.”

On the way to the airport, Natalie began to try to comfort Mike. “Poor boy. Relax. Everything is fine,” she said, trying to embrace him. “Okay, not fine, but don’t stress out.”

The 90 Day Fiancé star even tried to make a joke about their one-year age difference, saying: “I knew that you’re younger and you’re gonna be like this. I should have been with older man.”

To TLC producers, Natalie said she still didn’t understand why Mike was so upset about her refusal to proclaim her love for him. In the car, she said, “I tried to remove some pressure from us and make him feel happy, but he doesn’t care.”

For his part, Mike wasn’t having it. Hinting that he was tired of Natalie’s games and tests, he told 90 Day Fiancé producers, “I wanted Natalie to go to the airport with me and say goodbye to me, but I just felt like she was acting childish in the car.”

He left for the U.S. without a proper goodbye with his fiancee

Natalie seemed to hope for a complete reconciliation before Mike’s flight, but Mike told her her expectations were unrealistic.

“Just because you’re saying this stuff right now doesn’t mean anything is going to change right now,” the 90 Day Fiancé star told her. While the couple headed into the airport together, Natalie refused to hug Mike goodbye.

Mike’s uncertainty was obvious as he said he was going to wait to contact his fiancee (or ex-fiancee). “I’ll probably take a day or something and just try to gather my thoughts and stuff,” he told producers.

The 34-year-old admitted he ‘didn’t know’ if he was single or engaged

When Mike returned to his hometown, he seemed even more unsure about his future with Natalie. Are you engaged, single?” a TLC producer asked him.

The 90 Day Fiancé star responded with more than a hint of doubt. “Uh…my status right now is unknown,” he said. “I got the ring, and… I guess, not engaged right now.”

Mike said he’d have to wait and see how he felt before making any further commitments to Natalie. “It’s just too early to tell right now, dude. It feels like s***,” he said sadly. “I just don’t know anymore at this point, you know?”
