’90 Day Fiancé’: Mother Debbie Calls Jess Caroline a ‘Villain’ and a ‘Vixen’ in Instagram Tirade
90 Day Fiancé couple Colt Johnson and Jess Caroline seem to be having trouble — and that trouble seems to be named Debbie Johnson. Many fans have noticed that Mother Debbie often seems to get in the way of Colt Johnson’s dating life. She certainly did not approve of Larissa Dos Santos Lima, and she’s recently made it clear on Instagram that the same is true of Johnson’s latest reality television love, Jess Caroline.
Debbie Johnson calls ’90 Day Fiancé’ star ‘evil’
Debbie Johnson has never seemed to be a fan of Colt Johnson’s 90 Day Fiancé girlfriends. When Colt dated Larissa Dos Santos Lima, Debbie was less than thrilled. In fact, the two women often butted heads, and Debbie became one of the biggest issues in their relationship.
Now, with Jess Caroline and Colt Johnson considering not only marriage, but also a family, Debbie seems to be going back into protective overdrive. In fact, she recently took to her Instagram story to excoriate Caroline.
In a post captured by 90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates, she wrote, “There once was an evil villain. This red-headed vixen set her eyes on her [prey]. She tracked him down, knowing how vulnerable he was. Her sexuality was very powerful. Her eyes remained on the prize. Her dream could come true, but only if mommy stepped aside. Will her dream come true she asks herself, my visa, my visa, my K-1 visa.”
Fans were not impressed with Debbie’s post. One Instagram user commented, “So we just ignoring how Debbie said she would do everything in her power to sabotage their relationship? What kind of twisted sh*t is this?”
“What a weird post by Debbie.. like just weird. That’s a post from a lover not a mom…. the level of control exerted by her over her son is insane. He has issues 100% but their relationship is a whole issue in and of itself,” added another user.
Are Colt Johnson and Mother Debbie codependent?
Some 90 Day Fiancé fans have theorized that Debbie Johnson and Colt Johnson are codependent.
As reported by WebMD, “Codependent relationships signify a degree of unhealthy clinginess, where one person doesn’t have self-sufficiency or autonomy.” Some fans are theorizing that Debbie controls many of Colt’s life choices.
One Redditor wrote, “And to top it off she asked Colt if he would end the relationship with Jess if SHE felt Jess wasn’t the one. (I forget her exact words ). Just way too overbearing.”
“It’s really no wonder why Colt turned out so codependent. He really needs to establish healthier boundaries with his mom. Time to cut the cord,” added another user.
Jess Caroline weighs in on Debbie’s sabotage
Debbie Johnson wasn’t the only one making a callout post. Jess Caroline took to her story as well, and luckily John Yates was there to capture the 90 Day Fiancé drama once again.
Caroline wrote, “Watching the show yesterday, I see how people were playing nice in front of me but did everything they could to try to sabotage my relationship behind my back. Thank God my family only made me proud this entire time. They opened the door of their house, they made [traditional] food and drinks, they gave gifts, they were very nice, however, they were still badmouthed by people who have no idea what family values and family love are.”
She went on to add, of Debbie, “Mommy was too worried about her song getting another Brazilian ‘to use’ him, or [that] history repeats itself, but she forgot to teach him not to cheat again, manipulate and not to lie again, instead she was covering his lies and cheating scam this whole time. If I knew the [truth], I would never introduce them to my family.”
