’90 Day Fiancé’: Paola Mayfield Announces Surprising New Profession
There are a lot of popular couples in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. One of those is of course Paola and Russ Mayfield. The famous couple appeared on our television screens as cast members of season 1 of the original 90 Day Fiancé. They’ve remained popular and have been a part of countless spinoffs since then.
Paola recently announced a new and surprising profession that she’s pursuing. We have all the details about this new venture in her life.
How did Russ and Paola Mayfield from ’90 Day Fiancé’ meet?
Paola and her husband Russ met while Russ was working in Colombia as an engineer in the oil industry. He was invited to a party, where he met Paola, who lived in Colombia at the time. They eventually settled in Oklahoma together, where Russ is originally from, and they married in 2013. They have a son together named Axel, who was born in 2019.
Paola announces surprising new profession
According to one of Paola’s pages on Instagram, she’s a personal trainer as well as a nutrition coach. Plus, she’s also a Zumba instructor. But she is now pursuing a new venture as a professional wrestler. She shared the news on March 25, 2021, with her fans. In a post on Instagram, she included a number of video clips of herself in the ring with a few people appearing to be training. Things get pretty complex when it comes to the takedowns and moves that she’s involved in. It’s clear she’s been training and practicing.
Paola captioned a portion of her post in English saying: “Always a fighter, never a quitter! Always a hustler, never a bill! Always pushing hard and never looking back! Meet your new wrestler 🤼♀️ bringing all the Colombian fire 🔥.” She went on to tag a few accounts, thanking them.
“If you think you’ve seen everything about me, well you haven’t even seen anything yet,” she continues. “Mess with me and I will show you how it’s done! Bring it on buttercup!”
Paola admits she was ‘dying to share’ the news with fans
Paola also made a video on her Instagram Story about the new venture, admitting she was “dying to share” the news.
“I was dying to share that with you guys,” she says. “Like I was dying to share that I’m becoming a pro wrestler. It has been an amazing journey. I’ve been training very hard.” She adds that she’s “been training since last year.”
As one would imagine, Paola admits “it hasn’t been easy.” She’s clearly putting the work in, and it definitely shows in the video compilation she shared.
“And still I’m learning so much,” she says. Paola also shared that she’s “very excited.”
Paola has her “gear,” so things are getting serious for the 90 Day Fiancé alum that fans know and love.
“I already have my gear,” Paola says. “My boots. I have everything. I have my entrance, like oh man you guys are gonna love it.” She thanks her fans for their “support” as well.
Why is Paola announcing the news now? It turns out there’s a good reason for it, and it’s an exciting prospect for fans.
“I was ready to share with you because soon I’m going to have my first match, and I want you guys to be part of it,” Paola says.
