’90 Day Fiancé’: Paul Staehle Offers Proof He and Karine Martins Are Back Together Following Abuse Allegations
Just when 90 Day Fiancé fans thought Paul Staehle and Karine Martins‘ marriage was over, he claims they are living together again. Fans will recall their tumultuous summer filled with restraining orders and allegations of abuse. They even skipped out on the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Tell-All. Now, Paul says he and Karine have gotten past their “dark time,” and he is offering proof.
The ’90 Day Fiancé’ stars mutually agreed to drop their restraining orders
According to The Daily Mail, on September 16 Paul and Karine mutually agreed to drop the three emergency protective orders. They also decided to forgo their court hearing scheduled for December.
Both Paul and Karine filed for the restraining orders this past summer after they had a huge blowout fight. Paul told 90 Day Fiancé fans in an Instagram Stories video that Karine had requested a “full restraining order.” This required him to stay at least 500 feet away from his wife and son, 18-month old Pierre.
Later, Karine claimed that Paul sexually assaulted her. She also said Paul refused to hand over her green card.
“I am terrified he will hurt me or hurt my son because I [ran] away from him and I am even afraid to go back to Brazil now because he can go to Brazil and hurt us,” Karine said in court docs.
He fought back with his own restraining order. Paul claimed that Karine tried to poison his food with glass. But now, both orders are gone and he admits he lied about Karine trying to poison him.
Paul and Karine are expecting baby number 2
Before the 90 Day Fiancé couple dropped the restraining orders, Paul revealed that Karine was pregnant again. He said on social media that he had to accept the fact that he would probably never see his wife and son again. He added, “or see the birth or ever see my unborn child.”
Paul explained that he cleaned up their home in America. Then, he traveled to Brazil to make that home “sanitary and baby safe.” But, he made it clear to his fans that he wasn’t “chasing” Karine.
According to In Touch Weekly, the 90 Day Fiancé star just revealed that he and Karine have chosen a name for their second son. Paul shared the news by posting lyrics to a song he wrote on his Instagram Stories.
“People break up and makeup all the time / We got our son Pierre / And Ethan’s on the way / So happy to be here with you, Karine / And sure we’ve had our problems / But everything takes time to heal / I don’t really wanna love without you / So happy we’re fixing things up,” Paul’s lyrics read.
Paul offers proof that the ’90 Day Fiancé’ stars are back together
According to The Hollywood Gossip, Paul just posted a photo of Karine in a new blue hairstyle. This was his “proof” that they were spending time together again. He later told 90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates during a YouTube Live video why he and Karine skipped the Tell-All.
“They [TLC] understood we were stressed. They understood we were in a dark time,” Paul explained. “[TLC] provided us the courtesy of allowing us not to be there, and I really appreciate them doing that.”
Paul explained that they had “some crazy stuff happen,” and TLC understood they needed time and space. He added that he and Karine needed to be “off-camera” to deal with these things “privately and professionally.”
After getting Child Protective Services involved, Paul claims that he “pulled back.” He says that he and Karine decided it would be best to drop their restraining orders and “work things out peacefully in a more civil manner.”
Paul says that they are moving forward in a positive way. He and Karine are living together again. However, he stopped short of declaring they were back together as a couple.
The 90 Day Fiancé franchise airs Sunday nights on TLC.
