One of the returning couples, Mike Youngquist–35, who’s from Washington, and Natalie Mordovetsva–35, from Ukraine, had a lot of issues to sort out the last time we saw them in season 7. They met when one of Mike’s best friends got married to someone from Ukraine, and they had a child together. Mike was made the godfather, and his friend’s wife’s best friend was named the godmother, Natalie.

In season 7, Mike went to see Natalie as they waited for the K-1 visa approval, and fans saw this couple struggle in a lot of ways including not seeing eye to eye on having kids. Natalie really wants them right away, while Mike wants to wait. Plus, they don’t have the same views on religion, with Natalie being religious and Mike isn’t, which has caused friction in the relationship. There was even talk of Natalie thinking Mike had cheated.

Natalie also couldn’t say that she loved him when asked by producers, and to top it all off, she gave Mike back his engagement ring.

How does Mike respond when he gets exciting news from Natalie?

Despite the issues, the couple will be appearing in season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé, and the problems are still there. In a preview of the upcoming season, Natalie calls to tell Mike that she finally received her visa.

“I don’t like that she says, ‘I can’t trust you,’” Mike tells the cameras. “I would not cheat on Natalie. But I mean, the last couple months, I have processed a lot of that, yeah. I’ve done a lot of thinking, and we’ve done a lot of talking.” He admits there has been “a lot of hard talking,” but there’s also been “good talks” as well.

He still has the ring Natalie returned to him, and he admits that they’re trying to work things out. “The visa’s not ready, so I guess that gives us time right now to get it figured out,” he says.

In another scene, Mike and Natalie video chat, and she reveals that the K-1 visa that they previously applied for has been approved and come through. “I have some news,” she tells him. “I got my papers from embassy today.”

Mike inquires what the papers say, and Natalie reveals, “I got my visa.” She asks if he’s “happy” about it, but Mike doesn’t react like you might expect.

“I feel happy, excited. At the same time, I don’t know,” he says to her. He admits that he “wasn’t prepared to hear this right now,” which is a surprising thing to say to getting the happy news.

He tells the cameras that he had “a ton of emotions” when she gave him the news. He reveals his emotions were “good and bad.”

“But we have problems. We have issues,” he explains. “We kind of put the visa on the back-burner.”

Natalie will have 20 days from getting her visa to move to the United States to be with Mike. In the trailer of the upcoming season, Mike and Natalie will continue to have problems. In one shocking moment, Natalie says to Mike, “You’re sending me home.” She admits that she’s “scared,” and that she must “leave the country,” saying she’s “illegal.” She also adds, “Michael is monster.”

It looks like problems will continue for Mike and Natalie. Fans can watch things play out in season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé on TLC on December 6 at 8 p.m. E.S.T.
