’90 Day Fiancé’ Season 9: Bilal ‘Pranks’ Shaeeda, Wants to Know Her True Intentions
90 Day Fiancé Season 9 premiered on Apr. 17, with six new couples and one returning pair. Bilal prepares for Shaeeda’s arrival in the premiere episode, but he wants to know her true intentions. However, the prank he pulls may backfire in a big way.
‘90 Day Fiancé’ Season 9 star Bilal wants to know Shaeeda loves him for who he is and not how much he makes
Bilal, a successful real estate investor in Kansas City, Missouri, lives a lavish lifestyle. He refers to his way of life as “hood bougie,” and credits his success in life to his Muslim religion.
“I am what you’d call ‘hood bougie.’ Bougie is high maintenance, kind of going just a little bit beyond the norm. I do appreciate nice things, nice suits, love watches. However, at the end of the day, I didn’t grow up in the suburbs. I grew up in the hood. That really makes me who I am,” Bilal tells producers.
Bilal and his ex-wife, Shahida, remain on good terms with one another, and she knows how particular Bilal is about his house. However, she worries that Shaeeda might have dollar signs in her eyes when she looks at Bilal. Still, he promises her that’s not the case during a conversation he and Shahida have in the premiere episode.
Shahida tells Bilal, “Brother, I know you be on Facebook flexing and all that other stuff. So does she think, do you think or do you know or are you sure? Does she really love you for you? Because, you know, we know you got your money. We know you drive a little Mercedes.” She continues, “What I’m saying is that women can be blinded by the lights, the glitz, and the glamour fo what she thinks you have.”
Bilal assures Shahida that his fiancé isn’t like that. He explains to Shahida that he purposely hasn’t shown Shaeeda everything he has.
Bilal brings Shaeeda to the house he grew up in and not the one he lives in now
In the premiere episode of 90 Day Fiancé Season 9, Bilal invites his sister, Nefertari, over to help him prepare the house for Shaeeda’s arrival. However, he doesn’t plan to show her the house he lives in when he first arrives.
“When Shaeeda comes in today, I’ve got one more big surprise for her. We’re not immediately going to come to the actual home, so she won’t see this house. She won’t see any of her surprises, any of the gifts I got for her until the day after she comes. I’m going to pick Shaeeda up in a van that’s not mine. It’s a work van so it’s been used and abused a little bit. And, also, I’m going to bring her to my childhood home, the home that I actually grew up in,” the real estate investor explains.
His goal is to see whether or not Shaeeda loves him for him and not his wealth. However, it looks like the plan might backfire.
‘90 Day Fiancé’ Season 9 star Shaeeda is very unhappy with the living conditions
Fans don’t get to see Shaeeda’s complete reaction to the house Bilal brings her to in the premiere episode. In the trailer for next week’s episode, however, it’s clear Shaeeda is very disappointed with their living situation.
She wrinkles her nose at the house and turns to Bilal. The 90 Day Fiancé Season 9 star says, “I am not comfortable in having to live like I’m in the 1900 [sic.] A lot of things need to be fixed.”
Bilal snaps back, “There’s a lot of things that need to be fixed with your attitude.”
