90 Day Fiance Season 9 introduced a new couple who have been eliciting very strong opinions from fans. Shaeeda left her home country of Trinidad and Tobago to give her relationship with Bilal a shot. Bilal is a wealthy real estate agent and investor from Kansas City. He hid his wealth from Shaeeda, hoping that she would love him and not his money. However, it’s worth noting that Shaeeda had a successful business herself back home.

Things got off to a rocky start when Shaeeda first arrived in America in 90 Day Fiance Season 9. Before her arrival, Bilal talked with his ex-wife, and she expressed concern that Shaeeda might want to be with Bilal because of his money. Bilal revealed that he had been secretive about his wealth, not letting Shaeeda see his house or car.
When Shaeeda arrived, Bilal decided to play a “prank” on her. He picked Shaeeda up in a dirty van and took her to his childhood home, pretending that it was where they would be living. Shaeeda appeared surprised and a little dismayed. Although she had never seen Bilal’s house, she assumed that he was relatively well off due to the nice suits and watches he wore when visiting her in Trinidad and Tobago.

In 90 Day Fiance Season 9 Episode 3, Bilal took Shaeeda to his real home and revealed the truth. Quite a few fans didn’t appreciate the prank. “I was so frustrated by the fact that he didn’t understand her concern about this situation, which were completely valid,” one Reddit user wrote.
“I think her biggest issue is that he’s buying lavish and expensive items to post on the internet but apparently does not have enough money to ensure a well taken care of home?”
Additionally, Bilal’s “gold digger” concerns seem rather unfounded, considering the fact that Shaeeda left her own thriving business to be with him. Shaeeda was a successful yoga instructor back in Trinidad and Tobago. Her Instagram boasts a total of 17.7K followers and shows her striking impressive yoga poses and traveling around the world to places like Sydney, Australia.
Whether she wants to or not, Shaeeda won’t be allowed to work in the United States for a while after she first arrives. It’s understandable that she may have had some concerns about whether or not Bilal could take care of her. One Reddit user pointed out their thoughts on Bilal’s “gold digger” fears. They wrote, “How does she need to gold dig if she already has gold??!! You look at her surroundings, items, etc. on her insta, and it’s clear she’s successful on her own.”

Shaeeda says that she is nervous and seems especially awkward when asked about Bilal’s family home. “When I opened the door I felt like I stepped back in time,” Shaeeda says.
