52-year-old Ben from Fraser, Michigan, a recently divorced former pastor of a strict, conservative religious sect. In the search for his new life, Ben found himself homeless before finding work as a fitness model.
After being on the cover of a fitness magazine, Ben’s life changed. His photos sparked the interest of 24-year-old Mahogany from San Bartolo, Peru.
Ben’s story was finally shown on the Jan 16 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 5. He told his children that he had been dating a woman 28 years younger than him. While he’s never video chatted with her, he is sure that she’s real and God brought them together.

In the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days episode, the photos of Mahogany seem to be heavily filtered or of someone else, so fans were sure that she is actually catfishing Ben. However, the truth comes out thanks to some savvy 90 Day Fiancé fans. Mahogany is real!
On Reddit, fans posted photos they’ve gotten from Mahogany’s mother’s Facebook. Check out the photos below:
However, 90 Day Fiancé fans immediately noticed that she still looked quite different from Ben’s photos. Side by side, it appears that she may have used an app to completely change the shape of her facial features and even face shape.
One fan commented, “She’s really cute- sad that she feels like she has to photoshop herself into an AI-generated model.”
Everything we know about Mahogany
According to the 90 Day Fiancé fans, they’ve found out that the details of Mahogany on the show checks out. One fan posted a video of Mahogany on Reddit.
They wrote, “I was thrown off by the unusual name (particularly for a Latin American), but after some research, I found the FB page of both the alleged mom and dad, and there are multiple instances where they show and refer to her as their daughter (separate post on that).”
One fan commented, “So things that check out: Lives in San Bartolo (Peru), her name (biggest shocker! LOL), deeply religious background, relatively old posts referring to her.” The fan says that the only difference is the photos. They wrote, “What does not check out are the realness of those pictures she sent to Ben…”
While Mahogany exists, there’s still the possibility that someone could be using her heavily-filtered photos and information to catfish Ben for money. Fans will have to keep watching 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 5 to find out the truth.
