’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Big Ed’s Whirlwind Engagement Seems Like a Ploy to Remain on the Show
Ed “Big Ed” Brown from 90 Day Fiancé has found love, again.
The TLC star is engaged for the fourth time, he confirmed in a recent interview. Ed popped the question just 24 hours after meeting the woman at a Florida restaurant on Sept. 13.
Big Ed Brown calls new fiancé his ‘dream girl’
In an interview with Page Six, Ed opened up about meeting the woman he calls his ‘dream girl.”
Ed was holding a fan event at a restaurant in Plantation, Florida, when he first saw Porscha Raemond.
“So I’m there carrying out these big sandwiches with sparklers. It’s crazy. And in walks this beautiful Italian dish. Her name is Porscha,” he said.
“We felt the sparks,” he added.
Ed asked Porscha to go to dinner with him and his friends the next night. It was then that he spontaneously got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
“I said, ‘Look I never want to let you go. I think I met the one. I want to marry you.’ And she said, ‘Yes,’ and we hugged and we kissed,” he said.
Because the proposal was unplanned, Ed had to make do with a ring fashioned out of a paperclip. He said he plans to get his future wife a proper ring soon.
Does the ‘90 Day Fiancé’ star just want to keep his place on the TLC reality show?
Ed first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé’ since 2020, when he and his then-fiancée Rosemarie were part of the Before the 90 Days Season 4 cast. After he and Rosemarie ended their engagement, Ed moved over to 90 Day: The Single Life. He began a tumultuous relationship with a woman named Liz Woods.
Liz and Ed were cast members on multiple seasons of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and the spinoff 90 Day: The Last Resort. Ed called off their wedding in Happily Ever After Season 10, which aired earlier in 2024. Liz has since revealed that she’s in a new relationship.
Given Ed’s chaotic relationship history – he and Liz broke up and made up more than a dozen times – it’s hard not to be skeptical of his latest whirlwind romance. Now that Liz has moved on for good, Ed might be hoping a new fiancé will be enough to keep him on the popular reality franchise. He’s already appeared on The Single Life, so delivering more relationship drama may be what it takes to keep him relevant in the eyes of the show’s producers.
It sounds like even Ed’s family isn’t convinced his latest engagement is legit. They think the proposal was a publicity stunt, he told Page Six. Though Ed insists it’s “the realest thing ever,” many 90 Day fans will likely share his family’s skepticism. But it may only be a matter of time before we see Porscha join Big Ed on TLC.
