’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Kenneth Warns Fans There Will Be ‘Roadblocks’ and ‘Tears’ For Him and Armando This Season on ‘The Other Way’
Kenneth Niedermeier and Armando Rubio are about to face some real challenges in season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. Outside of some family-related issues, things have been going great for the show’s first gay male couple. 90 Day Fiancé fans are certainly rooting for the pair, but Kenneth recently warned that there will be “roadblocks” and “tears” for him and Armando this season.
Kenneth opens up about his romance on ’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’
In season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Kenneth has said goodbye to his family in the United States to start a new life with Armando in Mexico. The two have yet to settle down on the show, but Kenneth recently opened up about being the first male gay couple in the franchise.
According to Soap Dirt, Kenneth revealed that he and Armando were very hesitant to appear on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way but decided to go for it because they wanted to show people that “love is love,” regardless of who it is.
“We’re kind of private people, in a way,” he added.
Kenneth noted that he wants viewers to understand that love stories don’t always have to be like “Romeo and Juliet” and that sometimes it is “Romeo and Romeo.”
Like many other couples in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, there is a significant age gap between Kenneth and Armando. Kenneth is over 25 years older than Armando, which is very common on TLC’s hit reality series.
But they are not letting age get in the way of their relationship and have quickly become fan favorites on the show. Although many viewers are hoping things work out, Kenneth warned fans that his romance with Armando isn’t completely smooth sailing this season.
Kenneth warns fans about future ‘roadblocks’
While Kenneth and Armando seem like the perfect match, he went on to reveal that things will get “very emotional” this season. He also stated that he and Armando are going to encounter “a lot of roadblocks” this season, especially when it comes to adjusting to different cultures.
Unfortunately, the 90 Day Fiancé star did not reveal any more details about the struggles he and Armando experienced. Given how we already know that Armando’s family is more traditional and had a difficult time when he first came out, it’s safe to say that some of their issues are related to his family.
Like Kenneth, Armando is moving away from his hometown to start a new life. He is doing this because he doesn’t want his family to be judged for having a son living in an openly gay relationship.
Fortunately, his parents were much more open about his future plans than before, though they were very sad to see him go. Kenneth’s family members were also unhappy about his move, which is something Armando can definitely relate to.
