’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Larissa Lima Abruptly Arrested and Detained By ICE, Debbie Johnson Denies Any Involvement
Larissa Dos Santos Lima has been worried about getting deported, as seen on this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After. And just as she was getting ready to leave her Las Vegas life with ex-husband Colt Johnson behind, the reality star was unexpectedly arrested and detained by ICE.
The ’90 Day Fiancé’ star’s green card process was canceled by her ex
After getting engaged to Colt in 2018, Larissa said goodbye to Brazil and permanently moved to Las Vegas. As seen on season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé, she arrived on a K-1 visa, and applied for a green card shortly after marrying Colt. But when the couple split, Colt withdrew his affidavit of support for Larissa and canceled her green card application.
“I don’t care where she ends up, it could be the U.S., Mars or Brazil, I just don’t want to be responsible for her,” Colt told ET. “So, I did my only thing that I had to do, was cancel her affidavit of support. If she could try to get a green card or visa any way she wants, she can stay in America for the rest of her life, I don’t care.”
And since then, Larissa has been worried she could be deported. She was arrested three times for domestic disputes with Colt, but she managed to resolve most of her legal issues so she could find a way to stay in the country.
Larissa was getting ready to leave Las Vegas when she was detained by ICE
Over the summer, Larissa told her Instagram followers that she was leaving Las Vegas and moving to another state with her boyfriend, Eric. And on Sept. 18, she revealed that the two had sold their home and were moving to Colorado Springs. The reality star even posted a photo of the U-Haul truck she and Eric would be driving to their new home.
But on Sept. 19, Larissa’s friend, Carmen shared shocking news. In an Instagram story, she revealed that the 90 Day Fiancé star was picked up and being detained by ICE.
“I am here with Eric,” Carmen wrote in the Instagram story. “[Larissa] just got arrested by ICE when she was about to leave their house and move to Colorado. We have no clue why.”
Soon after, Larissa’s representative, Lindsay Feldman, made the following statement to TMZ: “Larissa’s legal team is working meticulously on her release and clearing up this misunderstanding.”
Shortly after the ’90 Day Fiancé’ star was released, her ex-mother-in-law Debbie denied allegations she called ICE
Just a few hours after being arrested, Larissa was released from ICE custody. She took to Instagram to thank Eric, Carmen, and Lindsey for their help and support, and she shared a video of herself in the U-Haul truck driving to Colorado. Eric also updated followers on her release by sharing a video of the 90 Day Fiancé star walking out of an ICE detention facility.
But fans couldn’t help but wonder why ICE showed up just as Larissa was leaving Las Vegas. In the comments section of an Instagram post shared by 90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates, some suggested that Larissa’s ex-husband and his mother Debbie had something to do with it. But under one of the comments, Debbie snapped back and denied having anything to do with Larissa’s arrest.
“Don’t spread lies you know nothing about,” Debbie wrote. “Colt or I didn’t have anything to do with this. Please don’t tag me.”
It’s still not clear why ICE picked Larissa up so abruptly. But the reality star will probably reveal more details on her upcoming Youtube channel.
