‘90 Day Fiancé’: Steven Proposes to Alina — Did She Say Yes?
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Steven has decided to propose marriage to Alina. While they’ve been dealing with some major issues in their relationship, Steven has decided to propose with the help of an original song he’s written to her. After all of the lying, was the song enough to swoon Alina?
Steven performs Alina an original song he wrote for her
During the Oct 31 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Steven follows through on his promise to delete his social media accounts and he makes it up to Alina by gifting her the Book of Mormon with a sentimental letter inside. As the relationship is looking up, Steven decides it’s time to propose.
Steven says, “Earlier today, I prepared an elaborate, super romantic proposal and now it’s actually happening.” He explains, “We’re going to sail to this waterfall, I’m going to play my song, and it’s going to be the biggest moment of my life.” He says, “I’m going to propose to the love of my life.”
Alina says ‘yes’ to Steven’s marriage proposal
When they arrive at the waterfalls, Steven reveals the keyboard he had hidden under a cloth. He says, “I feel so lucky to be here in Turkey with you. And I know that I’ve done a lot of things that have hurt you and made you sad. So I wanted to say I’m sorry, so I wrote you a little song that I want to play for you now.”
Steven then performs his song, with the lyrics: “I want to see you shine. I want to fill your life. I want you in my life. Before the time runs out and we lose our chance. So I got to ask, ask you on one knee. Ask you eternally. Ask you to marry me.” He gets down on one knee asks her to marry him. Alina begins to cry and immediately says “yes” to his proposal.
Is Steven really ready to marry Alina?
Alina thought that the proposal was “very unexpected” and fans thought the same thing. Many 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans were concerned with how seriously Steven is about marrying Alina. He had revealed that he had some doubts about Alina when they were driving back from the immigration lawyer’s office when they found out how little time they had to get married.
Not only was Alina disappointed by Steven’s hesitancy, she was also upset to find out how much he had lied to her while they were in a long-distance relationship. Alina is worried that Steven can actually commit to one woman and leave his bachelor’s lifestyle behind.
In the preview for the upcoming episode, Alina asks Steven, “Are you ready to get married now?” Steven says, “The truth is, Alina and I still have a lot of things to talk about.” While Alina is doubting Steven’s commitment level to her, Steven is doubting Alina’s commitment level to the LDS church.
