‘90 Day Fiancé’: Steven’s Ex-Girlfriend Calls Him a ‘Manipulative Liar’
When it comes to Steven and Alina on 90 Day Fiancé, fans are feeling dubious at best. Most seem to think Alina should be packing her bags as soon as possible. This is due in large part to Steven’s behavior — he has given Alina the run around about his own sexual history, and about seeing other women while they’re together. Now, a Reddit user claiming to be Steven’s ex-girlfriend is dishing on their relationship, claiming that Steven is nothing more than a “manipulative liar.”

When it comes to Steven with a v, 90 Day Fiancé fans are mystified. The general fan consensus is that Steven is the type of person who cherry-picks their faith to best suit their own circumstances and that he’s not very emotionally mature or ready to truly commit to Alina.
Recently, a 90 Day Fiancé fan took to the show’s main subreddit to discuss Steven and Alina from the perspective of one of Steven’s exes. The thread’s general thrust was asking what Alina finds in Steven, and why someone with her looks and intelligence might want to pursue him so aggressively.
The person who claims to be Steven’s ex suggests that what he’s doing now to Alina is his typical strategy.
“I feel a little qualified to answer this as I dated him before Alina. He comes across as a nice guy. He is flirty and makes you feel good about yourself (and yes he does prey on young naive girls, I was 18 when I met him),” the user wrote.
“He is very intelligent and conversations with him are very enjoyable. He starts talking about your future together, so much that you imagine it too. But during all this time, he is being manipulative and he turns all your words against you and tries to make you think you’re just insecure when really he is doing absolutely nothing to make you trust him.”
“So beyond being young and naive, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with her. She’s in a toxic relationship with a manipulative liar and sometimes it takes a lot for someone to recognize that and be able to get out of that relationship,” they concluded.
Steven came clean to Alina about his virginity
Steven has not been helping his case recently on 90 Day Fiancé. If anything, some of his behaviors do seem to fall in line with what this one Reddit user wrote.
In fact, Steven lied to Alina about being a virgin, and also claims he wasn’t clear on them being exclusive — even though Alina says he’d asked about seeing other women in the past.
Steven finally decided to admit to Alina that he lied about being a virgin, but he chose the middle of a wine tasting date to do so. Alina also learned that he’d been seeing other women while they were together long-distance.
“I thought you kind of understood my level of commitment at that point,” Steven later told Alina.
“I had no idea that it means you can go on dates with other girls. And you’re gonna kiss them,” Alina told him.
“I’m furious and hurt. We were planning our future together. I don’t know what to think, I don’t know what to do,” she told producers.
“I can kind of see why Alina was confused about my level of commitment when we were long distance. Because I’m a big dreamer and I like top talk about the future a lot, about our future. I think she kind of felt like I was Prince Charming coming in on my steed, but my words didn’t really match my level of commitment,” Steven told producers.
Steven went on to try and see if Alina had kissed anyone, telling her that he wouldn’t be upset if she had — obviously he’s trying to cover himself here, and Alina was not impressed.
“Oh my gosh. No, I didn’t kiss any guys. Because it’s stupid. I had a relationship with you. I waited for you, I waited for our meeting in person,” she replied.
