’90 Day Fiancé’ Tell All: Kalani Still Feels ‘Torn’ About Being Married to Asuelu
Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa faced major relationship issues on this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After. Mid-season, Kalani confessed she wasn’t sure if she wanted to be with her husband. And on the recent Tell All special, she reiterated that sentiment and revealed she still felt “torn” about being married to Asuelu.
The ’90 Day Fiancé’ couple had some tense moments this season
Asuelu and Kalani’s marriage has never been perfect. But as seen on this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, much of their recent drama was caused by Asuelu’s mother, Lesina, and sister, Tammy.
When the couple visited Tammy and Lesina in Washington, they were shocked to hear Lesina demand Asuelu give her $1000. Kalani tried to explain that they couldn’t afford to donate that much, but Lesina continued to push. Tammy — who attempted to attack Kalani at one point physically — even suggested that the two get divorced so that Asuelu would be free to give his mom money.
Kalani tried to get Asuelu to see how wrong his family was, and while he agreed, he still felt stuck in the middle. This lack of strength on Asuelu’s part irked Kalani, and when she left Washington, she wondered if she should be married to him at all.
Kalani kicked Asuelu out
The COVID-19 pandemic hit just as this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After was wrapping filming. And in the final episode, Kalani is at her wits end with Asuelu because of his lack of precautions against the virus. When he refuses to stop socializing and putting the family at risk, Kalani buys him a ticket to Washington so he could stay with his mom.
On the 90 Day Fiancé Tell All, Kalani revealed that Asuelu returned to his house and was now living with her again. But she said that he was still socializing with his volleyball team and dance group, despite the rise in cases.
“Today, we are together and we’re living together, but we aren’t anywhere near where we used to be when we were first together,” she said. “We’re just in a really rocky place right now.”
The ’90 Day Fiancé’ star still feels torn about being married to Asuelu
During the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After Tell All, Kalani and Asuelu watched back the clips from their trip to Washington. When host Shaun Robinson asked Kalani how she felt about saying she didn’t want to be married, the reality star admitted she still felt the same way.
“[It’s] basically, everything that I’m still doing which is not really knowing how to feel,” Kalani lamented. “Having this person that I care about, and having them act one way when they feel like it.”
“And then loving that person when they’re like that and then having them act other ways that you hate and can’t stand,” she continued. “So I just feel torn. I always feel torn because I love him but then we have so many issues that I can’t see a way out of them.”
Asuelu didn’t take Kalani’s criticisms well. He ended up storming out of the Tell All and did not return. The couple’s current relationship status is unknown, but they may update fans on social media in the future.
