The two started dating, and about three months into their relationship, Ariela discovered she was pregnant. She traveled back to the United States for prenatal care and hoped Biniyam could get a visa and join her for the delivery. But when Ariela realized he wouldn’t be able to come, she reluctantly decided to go back to Ethiopia to give birth.

The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star first addressed the fact that she didn’t have a negative reaction to his appearance, and was actually quite supportive of it. She also noted that she had already seen his haircut in photos and on video chat before she arrived in Ethiopia.
Ariela then revealed the real reasons Biniyam chopped his dreads in the first place. She said he had been getting ready to compete in a sports competition in Brazil. But he also cut his hair because it reminded him of his ex-wife.
“I think also he didn’t want to be reminded of his ex-wife who was the one that liked dreadlocks and told him to get them in the first place,” she said in the Instagram story. “I think it was kind of like a way to get over his past relationship. So I was really supportive of it, and I loved it.”
