The ’90 Day Fiancé’ couple had a tough time in Jordan

Fans watched Brittany move to Jordan to be with her longtime boyfriend, Yazan, on this season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. But when Yazan introduced Brittany to his conservative parents, things didn’t go so well. For starters, they complained about her revealing photos on social media.

“We don’t accept my son to even be in an amorous relationship or even a romantic one with…I mean, with all due respect, so you’re still on social media, and you still are as you are,” Yazan’s father told Brittany.  “Cancel all of this. Cancel all the life you’ve been living, and you would marry Yazan.”

The couple is also pushing for Brittany to convert to Islam so she can quickly marry their son. His mother yelled at Brittany, saying she wanted to see her son marry and have kids before she dies.

Brittany is hiding the fact that she’s still married

Yazan and his parents may be pushing for a quick marriage. But what they don’t know is that Brittany is still married to her first husband. While in Jordan, she learned that she was required to go to court to finalize the divorce.

Brittany didn’t mention the court filing or the divorce to Yazan. She instead told him that she needed to visit her sister, who just had a baby in Chicago.

After arriving in Chicago, where she initially filed for divorce, Brittany went to the city clerk’s office to sort out her case. But after spending three hours there, she revealed that she would have to refile for the divorce due to an upload error.

The ’90 Day Fiancé’ star calls Yazan’s parents overbearing

After being disappointed by her court appointment, Brittany and her mom visited her sister and newborn niece. The reality star dished on her relationship drama and told her sister about Yazan’s parents’ requirement for her to convert.

“Brittany is light years from what a Muslim woman would be,” her sister told 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way producers. “And she’s just not ready for that.”

Brittany then noted that Yazan has been accepting of her lifestyle choices all along. But she said she thinks his parents overwhelming pressure might be getting to him.

“He’ll be like, you know, ‘Everything is fine, whatever you want to do, I’m patient with you,’” Brittany explained. “But then he’ll talk to his parents and his parents will pressure him so he’s more like trying to just please his family. He can’t even think about what he wants for himself because they’re so damn overbearing.”

Fans will get to see more of Yazan and Brittany’s relationship journey as this season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way continues. New episodes air Sunday nights on TLC.
