Statler Riley from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is hosting her own tell-all. The season 6 cast member and her ex-girlfriend Dempsey Wilkinson are noticeably absent from the show’s two-part reunion, which began airing Nov. 18 on TLC. In a series of social media updates, Statler addressed why she wasn’t on stage with Shekinah, Sarper, Corona, and the rest of this season’s cast.

Statler’s non-attendance at The Other Way tell-all wasn’t a huge shock. In August 2024, she revealed in a post on her Instagram Story (via In Touch) that she was not participating, claiming that the show and production company Sharp Entertainment were “refusing to have me at the tell-all” because they were “truly scared.”

The TLC personality again spoke out about her 90 Day experience in a series of Instagram Story updates on Nov. 18. In one post, Statler denied rumors that she hadn’t been invited to the tell-all because she’d broken her NDA by revealing that she and Dempsey had broken up before all of their episodes aired.

“If that were the case, half of the 90 Day Fiancé cast wouldn’t have made it to their tell-alls,” she wrote. “It’s because I spoke out against the manipulation tactics and illegal sh*t that Sharp Entertainment/90 Day franchise does.”

“There has only been one other person who wasn’t invited in the entire history of 90 Day,” she added. “It’s an honor to be the first to cut my puppet strings. And I’ll keep speaking out.”

Statler starts her own tell-all podcast

While Statler didn’t participate in the official 90 Day tell-all, that doesn’t mean she’s not spilling secrets from her season. She’s opening up about her experience on The Tell-All Pod. Her goal with the new podcast is to offer a space for herself and other reality TV personalities to “clear their name if they’ve been labeled the villain.”

“I’m hoping this can help you guys get to know the real me and not this highly produced and edited version,” she continued.

Season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way followed Statler and then-girlfriend Dempsey as they lived the van life in Europe. On the show, Dempsey (who is from the U.K.) came across as laid-back and fun-loving, while Statler was anxious and insecure. The pair argued throughout the season, particularly about finances. (Statler was attempting to work remotely from the van, while Dempsey had quit her job prior to embarking on their adventure.)

Statler says ‘90 Day’ producers made her look like a ‘crazy nutcase’

In the first episode of her podcast, Statler said there was a reason she came off worse on this season of The Other Way. She was the one working most closely with the producers, while Dempsey dodged their calls.

“Once we got on the show, she would disappear in Thailand for, like, a day … the producer was constantly on my *ss, like ‘Hey, can you get ahold of her? We really need to talk to her,’” Statler recalled. “She ghosted them.”

The result? The team behind the show didn’t know what to do with Dempsey other than make her a “good girl,” Statler said, while she ended up in the villain role thanks to her greater candor.

“The writer kind of designed our character for the show. And because they didn’t really have anything to work with her, they were just like, ‘OK, she’s gonna be a good girl.’ … Meanwhile, I was delivering them piles of sh*t that they were like, ‘Yes, yes, let’s make her a sexaholic crazy nutcase.’”

The negative portrayal and social media backlash negatively affected her mental health, Statler said. With her podcast, she’s hoping to show people there’s more to her than they saw on the show.

“I wanted to give up a platform so that we could say our truths,” she said. “And have people get to know us a little bit better without the crazy editing and production.”

Part 2 of the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 6 tell-all airs Monday, Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
