Tom Brooks is done with 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days (but he’s not necessarily done with reality TV altogether).

“You’re not gonna see me on another 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. I wouldn’t do it. I just wouldn’t. You might see me doing something else but that’s not the show I’d do. I wouldn’t want to sign up,” he declared in an interview with The Domenick Nati Show on June 7.

Tom’s relationship with Darcey on ’90 Day Fiancé’

The declaration doesn’t come as too big a surprise. Tom has spoken about how his reputation took a turn for the worst in his second season on the show.

“I think I kind of upset people because in the first series, like, ‘He’s such a gentleman.’ I’ve never said that. I’ve never said I’m a gentleman. It’s just the perception of someone. So by the second series, by saying and doing certain things, obviously that’s changed the perception of me somewhat. But I’m all of those things. I’m kind, loving, and I’m an obnoxious pig as well,” he said in a different interview with Nati on May 29.

Some 90 Day Fiancé fans felt Tom didn’t treat Darcey Silva very well during their time together on the show. When they met for coffee in the midst of their breakup, Tom made a comment about Darcey gaining weight that fans found deplorable. Then, after they split, some fans felt Tom kept stringing Darcey along by reaching out to her via his friend and mother and then by sending her a letter.

In his more recent interview with Nati, Tom said he didn’t have his friend, nor his mom, reach out to Darcey.

“I didn’t ask anyone to send Darcey anything. And I actually messaged her myself. I remember I’d gone to Canada and I came back and I was at my friend’s house. And I told him how upset I was with the whole situation and how I’d been stupid and how I’d blown this–not relationship but the friendship we had. I think he reached out to her. But my mother certainly didn’t,” he said.

The letter Tom wrote Darcey after their breakup

Tom also spoke about the letter he sent Darcey in his interview.

Around the same time the “Tell-All” aired, Tom posted a photo of himself wearing glasses, slightly squinting, with the caption: “Me trying to read the letter I wrote to darcey at the finale of the tell all.. Do you want to know what it said ????” So fans thought Tom would be revealing the contents of the letter either at the “Tell-All” or on social media. He didn’t and hasn’t.

In his interview with Nati, Tom explained why he chose to write Darcey a letter.

“If you send a text message you can just delete it. But at least if you have something in your hands you’re more likely to open it up and read it. And that actually was my idea. People say, ‘Oh, it was casting.’ They didn’t ask me to do it. I said that’s what I wanted to do,” he said.

As for if he’ll ever release the letter (he wrote it out on his phone before writing it down for Darcey), Toms says it’s out of his hands.

“The powers that will be will decide whether or not that’s shown,” he said.
