Tom recently opened up about the vandalism and revealed that he believes it was due to his actions on the show.
Darcey shuts down Tom on 90 Day Fiancé
On the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Darcey opened up about her breakup from Tom. Talking to her twin, Stacey Silva, Darcey revealed that Tom felt very bad about the weight comments following their disastrous date in New York.
Darcey explained that Tom drove to her home in Connecticut following their meeting, but she had nothing to say about what happened. He also apparently wrote a letter that she refused to accept.
As 90 Day Fiancé fans are well aware, Tom was seeing a woman named Shannon before he ended things with Darcey. Although their relationship is clearly over, Darcey says that Tom still tries to text her and even asked a friend to reach out on his behalf.
“I’m not gonna be played for a fool,” Darcey said on the show. “I gave my heart. I tried my best, but you can only do it for so long.”
Darcey added that she is confident that the right man will eventually come her way and that she doesn’t “need this sh*t” from Tom. She then opened up about how she was willing to try a long-distance relationship with Tom, who wasn’t ready for it.
Tom comments about Darcey’s weight
Tom has been painted as a villain in the current season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, largely due to his behavior towards Darcey and his relationship with Shannon, whom he is no longer seeing.
As fans will recall, Tom commented on Darcey’s weight during their final date in New York. After Tom told Darcey that they should just be friends, she immediately rejected the offer. Things then took a turn for the worse when he asked, “Did you put weight on?”
Darcey understandably left the table at that point and told the cameras that she is “done” with the relationship. Based on his behavior after the date, it is clear that Tom knew what he said was wrong, but that didn’t stop fans from retaliating.
During an appearance on The Domenick Nati Show, Tom revealed that someone slashed his tires shortly after the episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days aired. Tom never confirmed a motive for the vandalism, but he believes it had something to do with his comments about Darcey’s weight.
In a separate interview, Tom noted that he never told Darcey that he thought she was “fat.” He also stated that he is attracted to “bigger woman” as well, something that probably won’t smooth things over with fans.
An update on the ’90 Day Fiancé’ star’s romantic life
While fans are clearly unhappy with Tom’s behavior on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, he has moved on with his dating life. According to Soap Dirt, Tom is currently dating a woman from the United States named Amanda McAdams.
The two sparked up a romance back in December and he even spent the holidays with her family in the US. Tom has since returned to the United Kingdom, where he has been staying amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Tom and Amanda are keeping up their long-distance relationship with frequent video chats. He also says that they are taking things “nice and slow” and that he is enjoying “some normality out of all the madness.”
As far as Darcey is concerned, she recently posted a series of photos that show her transformation since appearing on the show. Fans complimented Darcey for her new look, though some were convinced that she looks like a completely different person.
