’90 Day Fiancé’: Usman Umar Explains Why He Felt He Had to Block Babygirl Lisa Hamme After Their Split
Controversial 90 Day Fiancé couple “Babygirl” Lisa Hamme and Usman Umar are no longer together. Lisa recently took to Instagram to claim that Usman used her to improve his music career.
“I’ve come here tonight and this is probably the hardest thing I’m going to have to do in my life. I thought it was bad when my daughter died. I didn’t think I’d be doing this,” Lisa said in an Instagram Live video. “To everyone listening here, it is very apparent that I am the victim of romance scam. My husband has used TLC, his family, his friends, people around the world, I’m going to apologize to everyone here.”
Lisa also stated that Usman blocked her on social media.
Why Usman Umar blocked Babygirl Lisa Hamme
In an interview with The Domenick Nati Show, Usman confirmed that he had indeed blocked Lisa.
“I blocked her. She is blocked. That is true. If she tells you that I block her–she said that I blocked her on all social media–that is true. She’s not lying about that,” he said.
Usman went on to say that he’d been working on his career and building his fan base well before he met Lisa in 2017. Today, he has “fans from all over the world” and he feels he “made it to this level” all on his own. Usman says he blocked Lisa because she was harassing his fans.
“Lisa is coming to my fans, all my fans that say anything good about me, especially if she’s a lady, she will attack her,” he said.
“If you’re not going to help me with my career, I’m not going to allow you to break it down,” he continued. “So that is why I feel like the only way for me to secure this career is for me to block her so that she is not going to see my posts and responding to any of my fans. So this is the reason why I block her.”
But Usman says if Lisa “promised” him to stop “attacking [his] fans,” he’d unblock her.
Babygirl Lisa has never liked the way Usman interacts with his fans
As 90 Day Fiancé fans know, Lisa has a history of feeling jealous about the way Usman interacts with his fans. She got particularly upset when she found text messages on Usman’s phone to other women who he said were just fans of his music. She even found one text that said “I love you,” and she was not happy about it, to say the least.
“That would be like you opening up my phone and you see that I’m telling some dude that I love him. Not cool,” Lisa told Usman.
