After claiming that Usman “Sojaboy” Umar pulled a romance scam on her, Lisa revealed that he is not the first Nigerian “Yahoo Boy” she has come across. With her marriage to Usman on the rocks, here is what Lisa had to say about how she deals with men who try to scam her online.
The tale of Yolanda and Williams on ’90 Day Fiancé’
The topic of online scamming surfaced during the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days tell-all. During the special, it was finally revealed that Yolanda’s romance with Williams was nothing but a sham.
Fans have speculated all season long that Williams was not who he said he was. After hiring a private investigator to look into his profile, Yolanda discovered that he was actually a Nigerian scammer and was not from the United Kingdom.
Most of the cast shared their thoughts on Yolanda’s predicament during the tell-all, but things got really interesting when Lisa chimed in.
Lisa dishes on online dating scams
According to Screen Rant, Lisa revealed that she immediately knew Williams was a Nigerian scammer based on his profile. The 90 Day Fiancé star also warned Yolanda that Williams probably isn’t done scamming her and will likely attempt to get her on a different platform.
“I wanna chime in here, guys. Yolanda, his format that you had on Instagram, it’s completely fake. What they do is they run it for so long and if they can’t get a hit, like they want 50 clients at a time, they’re called Yahoo Boys and G Men,” Lisa shared. “You were his client and he is not done with you. He’s your atypical scammer, he’s grooming you, next he will seclude you. He will take you from your platform. He will move you to Vibe, Hangouts, WhatsApp.”
At that point, host Shaun Robinson asked Lisa how she knew so much about the world of Nigerian scammers. Turns out, she has a long history of dealing with guys like Williams.

After Robinson asked Lisa about how she knows about “Yahoo Boys,” she revealed that she deals with these types of scammers on an annual basis.
“They tried. I’m very good at this,” she noted.
Lisa added that she gets messaged by around 300 Nigerian scammers every year, which prompted Erika to say that she is “batting them off with a stick.”
For her part, Yolanda admitted that she was surprised by Williams’ tactics and did not think they would operate so well on social media. The 90 Day Fiancé star also confirmed that Williams attempted to move their conversation to Hangouts.
Although Lisa is apparently great at avoiding Nigerian scammers, her romance with Usman clearly did not end up the way she wanted.
Lisa blasts Usman for flirting with ‘porn star’
During the explosive 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days tell-all, Lisa slammed Usman for flirting with a “porn star” on social media. According to In Touch Weekly, Lisa revealed that the woman told Usman that she loved him on Instagram and has tried to sleep with him in the past.
In response, Usman stated that the woman in question is merely a fan of his and he only responded to her messages because she has such a large following on Instagram.
“Lisa usually attacks anybody, any lady, who puts an emoji of either symbol of love or anything like that love anything. Lisa will attack that,” he noted.
Usman added that Lisa’s jealousy is a serious issue in the marriage, which prompted Lisa to call the girl a “f**king porn star, a bad one at that.” She then threatened to tell Usman’s family about his questionable behavior online.
While there are clearly big issues in Lisa and Usman’s relationship, she recently opened up about the idea of letting him take multiple wives, something that is a tradition in Nigeria.
Is Lisa open to Usman having more than one wife?
Based on how jealous Lisa gets whenever Usman interacts with another woman, you might think it is safe to assume she is totally against him getting a second wife. But pretty much the exact opposite is true.
After Usman pointed out that the laws in Nigeria permit him to take on a second wife and that he would likely do so in the event that Lisa cannot have children, the 90 Day Fiancé star completely agreed with him.
The only stipulation Lisa has is that Usman must provide a house for her to live in and that she would always remain his top priority.
“She is the wife. The way I get married to you … I’m going to get married to her. So there is no difference. You are the first wife. Accept it,” she told him.
