’90 Day Fiancé’: Usman Umar Says He Served Lisa Hamme Divorce Papers But She Won’t Sign
Usman Umar and Babygirl Lisa Hamme were one of the most controversial couples on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 4. The two had a big age gap, cultural differences, and just didn’t seem to get along at all. Shortly after filming the Tell-All special, the two announced that they had broken up. Now, Umar has served Hamme with divorce papers.

Hamme and Umar met through a friend.
“We met online,” Hamme said in an interview with Without a Crystal Ball. “We met through a mutual friend out of the UK. I knew her, she knew him, and he was looking for a female companion. And I just knew her reputation, I’m like, uh, I don’t know about this…but send him through my filtered messaging, and I’ll see what it’s about.”
At first, Hamme was worried that Umar might have been a scammer, but she gave him a chance and the two started dating. Soon, they got engaged and Hamme went to Nigeria to marry Umar. The entire time she was in Nigeria, the two fought. She had a problem with almost everything that Umar did. Despite Umar’s friends and family not approving of the union, Umar still went through with the marriage.

While the season was airing, Hamme and Umar left hints on their Instagrams that things weren’t going so well between them. After appearing as a couple at the Tell-All special, Hamme went on Instagram Live to announce that she and Umar were officially done.
“He used me,” she said. “He married me just to be on a TV show that people would recognize his name to sell his music. I tried to work with him, his brothers tried to work with him. He thinks it’s just him, he thinks he’s going to do what he wants and he’s never going to apologize for anything he’s ever said bad about me. He’s posing as what you call a romance scam, which is very illegal in Nigeria. It puts that stigma back onto Nigeria again and that’s what I didn’t want to do.”
After they broke up, Umar claimed that Hamme withheld a $26,000 check that he was supposed to receive from Cameo.
Usman Umar wants a divorce
Since the breakup, Umar has been trying to legally cut ties with Hamme but it has not been easy.
“Lisa and I are no longer together, she was served [papers] last week and she [doesn’t want to] accept it,” Usman recently told In Touch. “My lawyer called her so that she can explain why or complain [about] the divorce, but she yelled at him and cut the call.
“After that, she call on Zoom to lie to people as usual as she does,” he continued. “Now, I’m free and if you look at me very well you will see that I’m happy and getting better without drama and about the money she took from me KIV [Keep In View].”
Until Hamme signs the divorce papers, the two are still legally married despite being separated.
