’90 Day Fiancé’: Usman Umar Says None of His Family and Friends Like Babygirl Lisa Hamme
90 Day Fiancé couple Usman Umar and “Babygirl” Lisa Hamme have had a dramatic relationship from the start. They’ve both been accused of cheating on each other, they constantly fight, and, recently, it came out that Lisa called Usman the N-word. She apologized on Instagram, but some fans felt the admission was only the tip of the iceberg in terms of her “abusive” behavior toward Usman.
Now, Lisa is saying Usman scammed her to further his music career and that their relationship is over.
“He used me. He married me just to be on a TV show that people would recognize his name to sell his music. I tried to work with him, his brothers tried to work with him. He thinks it’s just him, he thinks he’s going to do what he wants and he’s never going to apologize for anything he’s ever said bad about me. He’s posing as what you call a romance scam, which is very illegal in Nigeria. It puts that stigma back onto Nigeria again and that’s what I didn’t want to do,” she said in an Instagram Live video.
Usman maintains that he did not scam Lisa. They were together for three years, well before their season filmed.
Usman Umar says his friends and family don’t like Babygirl Lisa Hamme
In an interview Usman did with The Domenick Nati Show on May 31, he confirmed that his friends and family never liked Lisa, and that he had to force his feelings for her.
“If you watch the faces of my friends and my family, nobody liked Lisa. But I forced it,” he said.
Usman’s Mother on Babygirl Lisa Hamme
90 Day Fiancé fans will remember how it went when Usman told his mother he wanted to marry Lisa and move to America.
“Ideally my mom want me to get married to a Hausa, Muslim lady from my region,” he said.
When Usman told his family his plans, he said they responded with a “capital NO.”
“I am totally diappointed of their reaction. It’s one of the worst signs that she is walking away because she’s telling me that you and her, I’m done with you. You guys just have to pack your things and leave. It’s one of the worst answer,” Usman said in his talking head interview.
“I disagree with his choice to marry Lisa. That is why I left the gathering earlier. It scares me because Lisa’s obviously much older. Also that she will take him abroad. I’m afraid of how they will treat him since the whites don’t like the blacks over there,” said Usman’s mother.
