’90 Day Fiancé’: Geoffrey Paschel Says Varya Malina Apologized to Him for How Her Mother Treated Him
90 Day Fiancé fans will remember that Varya Malina’s mother was wary of her daughter’s relationship with Geoffrey Paschel, particularly because of the criminal charges against him. When Geoffrey spoke about the charges to Varya’s family, Varya’s mom told her daughter that people don’t change and that she should break up with her American boyfriend.
Fans felt Varya Malina ‘dodged a bullet’ with Geoffrey Paschel
Though Varya didn’t end her relationship with Geoffrey after her mother’s warning, she didn’t accept his proposal when he asked her to be his wife during his trip to Russia. Varya told him, “not yet,” and that she felt they were moving too quickly. She didn’t want to break up, but she wanted to slow down.
When fans thought Varya and Geoffery were over, the Russian reality star received a lot of messages telling her their supposed breakup was for the best.
“The main comment, the most popular comment in my DMs was: ‘Varya you dodged a bullet.’ It was everywhere. I want to say that Geoffrey is not a bullet. He’s like an AK-47. You will run and zig-zag, you will have no chance to dodge the bullet,” Varya said in an interview with The Domenick Nati Show on June 3.
How Varya’s mother feels about her daughter’s relationship with Geoffrey
Varya also touched on her mother’s feelings about her relationship with Geoffrey.
“My mom is not big fan of idea of me move to another country. Obviously, she wasn’t that happy, like me at that moment. She said, ‘Varya, you have lots of time without those emotions when you were just engaged, planning a wedding, you have so many thoughts.’ She just said, ‘Calm down. You have time to plan, to think, overthink,’” she said.
When the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic was first declared and borders closed, Varya’s mother told her to maybe take it as a sign.
“Then the COVID stuff happened and she said, ‘Everything happens for a reason,’” said Varya.
At the end of the day, Varya says no one in her family can stop her from doing something she wants to do.
“I would say my family’s not aggressive because they know me. There’s no chance they will say no and I will follow this if I feel that I need. Nobody can stop me,” she said.
Varya’s friends were also unsure of Geoffrey
Varya’s family and fans weren’t the only people wary of Geoffrey. Her friends were concerned about his past as well. Fans watched Geoffrey lose his temper after Varya’s friends questioned him about the allegations against him.
“When you saw me lose my temper at the restaurant scene, the question that made me lose my temper was more or less something about my son and they were laughing about it. And that just pissed me off and what made me stand up,” Geoffrey said in an interview with The Domenick Nati Show on May 19.
Varya apologized to Geoffrey for her mother’s behavior, says Geoffrey
Geoffrey recently answered fan questions when he went live with Nati and somebody asked him if Varya apologized for how her mother treated him.
After taking a couple beats to think about it, he said: “Yes. Yes.”
Fans still aren’t sure if Geoffrey and Varya are together today. But the reality star has said he’ll update everyone when he can.
