‘90 Day Fiancé’: Varya Malina Gives an Update on Geoffrey Paschel and Reveals Delayed Sentencing Hearing
Former 90 Day Fiancé star, Varya Malina gives fans an update on her life in Tennessee. She also reveals that Geoffrey Paschel’s sentencing hearing has been delayed until February 2022. Here’s what we know about the delayed sentencing hearing.
Varya Malina updates fans on her life in Tennesee
On Nov 1, the 31-year-old Russia-native shared an update to her fans on her Instagram Live. She said, “I’m going to sell the house.” The former 90 Day Fiancé star packed up her life in Pensacola, Florida to move to Tennesee to help support Geoffrey. Since moving in, she’s been taking on Geoffrey’s rental properties as the landlord. On top of that, she’s helped with maintaining the large plot of land that Geoffrey’s home is on. She’s also been taking care of Geoffrey’s dogs.
Then, on Nov 16, Varya shocked fans when she told her followers that she would be joining the National Guard. She revealed the reasons behind wanting to join. This includes that she can obtain citizenship within a year. She will be able to have free education and she can improve her English. She also has plans of being an officer after she completes the training.
Geoffrey Pachel’s sentencing hearing is delayed until February 2022
During her December 2nd live stream via Instagram, Varya revealed many updates on her new life in Tennesee. The 32-year-old Russian beauty even gave her fans an update on Geoffrey. She spoke about how Geoffrey’s sentencing hearing has been delayed. On October 7th, Geoffrey was found guilty of aggravated kidnapping, domestic violence, and interference with an emergency call for a past dispute involving ex-fiancée Kristen Wilson in June 2019.
She says, “I know you heard about the delay of his sentencing. Now it’s February 3rd.” Varya explained that she felt like it was a good sign because February 3rd also happens to be Geoffrey’s late son’s birthday that day. However, she does feel like the American justice system has failed her and Geoffrey. She said that the delay is “ridiculous.”
Varya can’t go back to Russia
With Geoffrey behind bars, Varya was considering going back home to Russia to visit her mom. However, she’s unable to leave right now because of her immigration status. She said, “I wish I had my documents, you know, to be able to go visit my mom.” She began to cry speaking about how difficult it has been for her not being able to go visit her family. She said, “It just makes me sad.”
However, she might be able to go home and visit her family soon. She’s been working on fast-tracking her US citizenship by joining the National Guard.
It will be interesting to see what happens next for Varya. While she’s not too keen on the idea of returning to TV alone, without Geoffrey. 90 Day Fiancé fans will have to wait and see if she will return to the franchise.
