This season started with Paschel going to Russia to meet Malina and propose. Things took a turn when he told her he was previously in prison due to a drug conviction. She rejected his proposal afterward and asked for more time. He decided to dump her and go back to Tennessee.
Paschel then considered dating his friend, Mary Wallace. Malina didn’t know this and decided to surprise him at his home to win him back. Paschel sent Wallace away and the season ended with him proposing to Malina again. This time she said yes.
Malina’s mother previously told her to wait
After Paschel told Malina about his criminal history, she told him that he also has to tell her family. That included her mother, Larissa.
Larissa didn’t hold back showing her concern for her daughter. She repeatedly told her daughter to think before they left her home. Now Malina revealed how her mother reacted to their engagement.
She said her family was worried for her safety
Malina appeared on the The Domenick Nati Show. She talked about her family’s reaction to her surprise trip to the United States.
“They kind of knew that I’m going to America,” she said. “It wasn’t a good idea they thought. They love me and accept everything, what happened in my life. They just worry for me like for my safety maybe.”
The host asked if they feared if she would be safe with Paschel. She answered that they were worried about “my emotional and mental safety.”
Malina said she told her mother that they got engaged over the phone. She admitted that her mom is still not a fan of their relationship.
“My mom is not a big fan of idea of me moving to another country. So obviously she wasn’t that happy with me in that moment,” she said. The reality star’s mother told her to calm down and she had time to plan and think.
“Then this COVID stuff happened and she said ‘everything happens for a reason,'” Malina added. She then made it clear that “nothing can stop me” and that includes her family’s opinions on what she should do.
Malina didn’t revealed if she’s still in a relationship with Paschel. The reality stars plan to do their own “Tell All” since he wasn’t invited back on the show due to him being accused of abuse by his ex-girlfriend.
