’90 Day Fiancé’: Varya Says She Apologized to Mary but She Didn’t Accept
After Geoffrey Paschel asked Varya Malina to marry him on 90 Day Fiancé and she said, “not now,” he took it to mean that they had broken up. When he went back to America, he ghosted her.
“She had been messaging me for the past several weeks to a month, I’d been ignoring her. Oh, sending this like, ‘Hey how’s your day?’ I’d be like, ‘Hi. Fine.’ Just kind of really low-key. You know, just let it die down. I don’t feel like I broke up with her when I left. I felt like she ended the relationship,” he said in an interview with The Domenick Nati Show on May 19.
Geoffrey continued: “With her turning me down with a ‘not now,’ I was done. I just couldn’t do it anymore. I put so much into it and I didn’t feel like I got it back.”
Varya happens upon Geoffrey and Mary
So Geoffrey began to spend time with a woman named Mary. As 90 Day Fiancé fans know, when Varya decided to show up at Geoffrey’s door in America, Mary was over at his house.
“It was Mary’s birthday. That’s why I took her to dinner, that’s why I gave her flowers. The conversation moved into something more romantic and it kind of went from there. Then pretty much Varya showed up the next day. So it was like a quick, spontaneous thing going,” said Geoffrey.
Geoffrey insists that Varya’s visit was a “complete surprise.”
“I hear people say, ‘Oh this is so staged. This is so fake.’ Completely. I was caught in the moment. You saw my sh*t-eating grin on. I didn’t know what to do. It felt like my heart went down to my toes. But it was completely in that moment,” he said.
Geoffrey also insists that Mary “wasn’t a rebound.”
“I wasn’t in mourning. It was like nobody died in that sense. It was just me getting over–it wasn’t a rebound because I was with Mary long ago and first. So, if anything, I was rekindling and basing it off of the emotions I was feeling. So when Varya showed up again it was kind of like, ‘What the hell? What do I do?’” he said.
Fans will remember that things got pretty heated from there. Varya was surprised to find a woman at Geoffrey’s home. In her mind, they were still together (because when he proposed to her she’d said “not now,” not “no”).
“I thought we are still in a relationship. I didn’t know about the other chick. So, for me, was like big surprise,” Varya said in an interview with The Domenick Nati Show on June 3.
“He didn’t tell me that he moved on and he was dating other person,” she continued.
Varya says she apologized to Mary
The interviewer asked Varya how she is with Mary “right now.”
“There is no me and Mary right now,” she said.
Though the women aren’t on speaking terms, Varya says she did attempt to apologize to Mary, but to no avail.
“At the final episode they didn’t show my excuses, but I did that. It wasn’t maybe sincere at that moment, but I understood that I was wrong being very rude and I apologized. But she wasn’t ready to accept the apology. Now we don’t have any connection to each other. No communication, no friendship,” she said.
