’90 Day Fiancé’: Why Angela Gets Emotional at the Tell All
Season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After did not disappoint. Although it’s almost over, there are still a few episodes of the Tell All to go. On the first episode of the three-part virtual Tell All, Angela Deem and her new husband, Michael Ilesanmi join the conversation, and at one point, Angela walks away after getting emotional.
Angela Deem lost her mother shortly after marrying Michael Ilesanmi
Angela recently married Michael in Nigeria, but she received some terrible news about her mother shortly thereafter. Angela’s daughter, Skyla, calls her mother to tell her that her mom is unresponsive, and that the ambulance came to the house. Angela’s mother is taken to the intensive care unit of the hospital. It’s an absolutely devastating blow for Angela, who rushes home on an earlier return flight to be with her.
She goes straight to the hospital, and she is able to spend time with her mom while she’s responsive. But just 10 days later, Angela’s mother passes away. It’s an extremely hard moment that completely overshadows the fact that she was just married.
Angela was already upset that her mother couldn’t be there for her wedding to Michael, and of course she thought she would be there for a longer period of time upon her arrival back home to Georgia. It’s still a fresh wound for her, and when the host, Shaun Robinson, brings up the wedding during the Tell All, Angela gets emotional.
Why Angela gets emotional at the Tell All
During the Tell All, footage from Angela’s wedding is shown on the screen. Shaun asks her what it was like to relive it, and Angela starts to get emotional. She puts her hand on her face to cover her eyes, and she starts to cry. She has to get up and walk away, and she takes off her microphone to get a minute alone off-camera.
While she is gone, Michael says she is feeling that way because she wishes her mother had been there for her big day. “The reason why she got so emotional was because of her late mom, you know?” Michael explains. “And she wishes the mom was present in the wedding.”
Angela returns, and apologizes. “I just thought of her all of a sudden,” Angela reveals. Debbie, Colt Johnson’s mother, tells her not to apologize. “I think she’d have been proud,” Angela continues.
Colt Johnson agrees, and Debbie mentions that she’s “so happy” for them now that they’re married. She also mentions that just a “little bit longer” they will be together.
“Yeah, it’s really hard like sometimes, you know, you just need your husband,” Angela reveals. “You know just for comforting, a hug, and the COVID screwed that up. I can’t just fly over there.”
Angela details that they won’t be able to be together right now because of the coronavirus (COVID-19). “After the pandemic, we still have to wait probably a year for him to get the spousal visa,” Angela says. “But, we make it through all this, and we’re still together, then everybody can shut up.”
There is still more to come from the Tell All, and there’s sure to be more drama as well.
