’90 Day Fiancé’: Why Colt Johnson’s Mother Debbie Admits She Had a ‘Meltdown’
On this week’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Colt Johnson and his mother, Debbie, are in Brazil. They arrived after Colt was invited to see his girlfriend, Jess Caroline, along with her family. It’s already been an eventful trip, and it’s only been one day. Read on to learn why Debbie admits she had a “meltdown.”
Colt Johnson and Debbie land in Brazil
Colt is invited to Brazil by his girlfriend, but of course his mother had to come along for the trip as well. They touch down in Brazil, and it’s already awkward. Debbie insists she needs to go back to the hotel to lay down, and when they get to the room, Debbie does just that. But Jess goes in the room to speak with her, which doesn’t go over very well. Debbie insists that they either let her sleep now, or take her to the hospital soon. Eventually, she is left alone and able to get some much-needed rest.
Why Colt Johnson’s mother Debbie admits she had a ‘meltdown’
The next day, Debbie is alone in the room after Colt and Jess went to get separate accommodations, since Colt only booked one suite for all three of them. Colt comes to his mother’s room to see how she’s doing. Debbie is eating her breakfast on the porch when she’s greeted by her son.
“My mother and I just arrived in Brazil, and yesterday she got really tired. She basically kicked Jess and I out of the room,” Colt tells the cameras. “I feel like my mother is not a fan of Jess. It concerns me that Jess and my mother won’t be able to get along.”
Colt goes to his mother’s room to make sure she’s OK, and to let her know that the way she behaved the following day wasn’t right. However, Debbie seems to know to some degree based on what she says.
“Yesterday Colt and I flew over 15 hours, and it was overwhelming, and I kinda had a meltdown,” Debbie tells the cameras.
The conversation turns to Jess Caroline
Debbie tells Colt that she’s glad they both got separate rooms, because it would be “awkward.” She was content to listen to the ocean. Colt proceeds to tell his mother that Jess is “loud,” which is a strange thing to tell a parent.
He also tells his mother that he spoke with Jess, and she thinks Debbie is mad at her or thinks she did something wrong.
“Well, you guys were talking in the car about a future and children and getting married, and it’s like we were here just for an hour, and all of a sudden you guys are…” Colt interrupts and says he’s known Jess for “quite a while now.”
“Not long enough,” Debbie insists. Colt says he’s known Jess longer than he knew his ex-wife, Larissa Dos Santos Lima. Debbie replies by saying that didn’t work out that well. Colt explains it’s “fun” to talk about a future with Jess Caroline.
