’90 Day Fiance’: Why Nicole Has No Plans to Marry Azan

Some couples on 90 Day Fiance seem a little “off” from the start. And we don’t just mean because of age or cultural differences. On top of those things, there are some couples on the show who are basically in one-sided relationships.

That was the case with Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou. From the moment the couple appeared on the show, fans were skeptical of whether Tefou was actually interested in Nafziger at all.

So, is the couple still together? Or were fans right from the beginning?

Nicole and Azan’s relationship

Nafziger and Tefou met on a dating app when the single mom was just 21 years old. Tefou was 23 at the time. The couple then started a long-distance relationship between Bradenton, Florida and Agadir, Morocco.

The two appeared on season four and season five of 90 Day Fiance and then later appeared on Happily Ever After.

Though the couple made it through several seasons of the show, they never seemed happy together. Tefou would commonly ignore Nafziger’s calls and the pair was never on the same page.

Nicole and Azan quit ’90 Day Fiance’

Being on a reality television show can be stressful on a relationship. When you allow cameras to film you and your partner, you open yourself up to all kinds of criticism from everyone who watches the show.

In September, the two announced that they were leaving 90 Day Fiance.

“They’re tired of being harassed,” an insider told RadarOnline. “It was Nicole’s decision. They have no intention right now of going back on the program.”

Do Nicole and Azan plan to get married?

Though they will no longer be on the show, Tefou and Nafziger are still together.

“Soon it will be four years and it’s crazy how much we’ve been through,” Nafziger wrote on an Instagram post of the two of them facetiming. “Ups and downs, rumors, tears, fights, love, connection, faith, Love. We’ve been through it all. All the time we are getting stronger as a couple and understanding more of each other. Our Journey is longer then others but that doesn’t make it less true to each other. Just means we get stronger along the way. One day we’ll never have to leave each other’s side and it will be amazing. Until then I’ll continue to support you as you support me. I love you.” 

Though they are still together, they haven’t moved forward with wedding planning.

“They have no plans for a wedding,” a source told the outlet. “He can’t get a visa. She’s talked about going back to Morocco, but she doesn’t have money. She has to save.”

And it’s been years since they have seen one another.

“It’ll be two years since they’ve seen each other,” the source continued. “They still talk occasionally, but there have been a lot of fights between them on the phone.”

Given the amount of time it’s been since they’ve been in the same place and the constant arguments, it’s a wonder the two are still in a relationship.

“The family is surprised they’re still together,” the source said.
