’90 Day Fiancé’: Why Weren’t Geoffrey and Varya at the Tell-All Special?
Did you watch the ‘90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ Season 4 Tell-All? The first part aired on Sunday, June 7 and brought out some of your favorite couples. But one pair, Geoffrey Paschel and Varya Malina, was noticeably absent. Why didn’t they appear in the program?
Geoffrey and Varya’s absence explained
Geoffrey didn’t receive an invite due to abuse charges against him that surfaced in January, just weeks before the premiere of the fourth season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. The charges stem from a June 2019 incident where his then-girlfriend claimed he viciously attacked her in the home they shared.
Upon learning of the allegations, viewers started petitioning for TLC to oust Geoffrey from the show, but the network allowed his story to play out. However, it opted not to bring him on for the special. When Varya learned this, she seemingly chose not to show up either.
In a May 19 appearance on The Domenick Nati Show, Geoffrey talked about TLC’s decision not to invite him on the show, calling it “unfortunate.”
“I feel the network has bowed down to the pressure of a few thousand people as opposed to, you know, the 3.3 million people that watch the show, which is unfortunate,” he said.
“We’re in a different time now with the whole ‘Me Too’ movement and whatever, so there’s a lot of pressure to cower to the minority in wanting to make sure they’re not making the wrong decision, you know?” he continued.
Geoffrey maintains his innocence
Geoffrey has said the abuse allegations against him are nothing more than an attempt to derail a child custody case involving his ex-wife. He told Nati that his court hearings keep getting pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic but said he expects to be fully exonerated in the end.
“I have everything I need to exonerate me, and this is all just a ploy. This is all just an agenda to try to make me lose custody of my child… I am not accepting anything other than a full exoneration,” he continued.
Geoffrey will talk to fans on his own time
When asked whether there was anything he would have wanted to address on the tell-all, Geoffrey said there’s plenty. Although he could not make the special, he intends to put together a video where he can update fans on what they missed or didn’t get to see.
“There’s a lot on my mind, and I’m going to release my own Tell-All on my YouTube channel… I’m going to let it all be known there. We’ll dish out and have several people on to explain a lot of the situations going on,” he shared.
In Touch Weekly reports that Varya also intends to create a YouTube channel where she’ll offer fans a closer look at their relationship and behind-the-scenes clips that they missed. Stay tuned with us for updates.
