’90 Day’ Star Michael Ilesanmi on Rumored Split From Angela Deem: ‘I Don’t Fake Anything’
The drama is real, says 90 Day Fiancé star Michael Ilesanmi. After a fan account speculated that Michael and his wife Angela Deem were just stirring the pot with their latest relationship drama, he fired back, denying the suggestion that he was faking things for the show.
Have Michael and Angela from ‘90 Day Fiancé’ broken up for good?
For months, rumors have swirled that Michael and his wife Angela Deem have finally split up for good. The alleged breakup came in late February when Michael fled his wife’s Georgia home just months after he finally arrived in the U.S. from Nigeria. Soon after, he resurfaced on Instagram – without his wedding ring. Meanwhile, Angela was dropping hints that her husband was a scammer who’d used her to get a green card.
For 90 Day fans who’ve followed the couple’s tumultuous story, the impending divorce was a long time coming. Over the years, Angela and Michael (who wed in 2020) have dealt with cheating allegations, a global pandemic, and major visa hurdles. Anger and frustration often boiled over, especially from Angela, who became known for her explosive temper.
Michael says he’s not faking things for the show
Angela and Michael’s latest round of drama captured the attention of 90 Day fans. But was their latest conflict all for show? As the couple returned to TLC in the May 19 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? a fan account speculated that the two were turning up the heat as a way to generate interest in the show.
”TLC really needed big interest and TLC knows they can always count on Angela to get the fires and flames started,” wrote the 90dayfianceupdate Instagram account on May 19. Michael’s new social media presence was also a way to get people talking, the account speculated.
“I think they are both very much still together, they have 7 years together and both are addicted to each other in one way or another, I just don’t see the split being legit,” the post continued.
Some 90 Day followers might have their doubts about the latest twist in Angela and Michael’s story, but Michael says it’s all for real.
“I don’t fake anything! SMH,” he commented on the post.
In another update on his own social media, Michael said there was more to his story than people realized.
“I don’t talk bout you, please do not talk bout me,” he wrote on his Instagram Story on May 19. “[Nasty] attention seekers smh. Can’t wait to tell my side!!”
In his second post on his new Instagram account, Michael strongly hinted that he has put his relationship with Angela behind him.
“You either get bitter or you get better. It’s that simple,” he wrote in the May 3 update. “You either take what has hurt you and allow it to make you a better person, or you allow it to tear you down. The choice does not belong to fate. It belongs to you.”
90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 8 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC. Episodes also stream on Max.
