It’s the last chance for these 90 Day Fiancé couples. After reaching a breaking point in their relationships, six couples from the hit franchise embark on a unique relationship experiment in 90 Day: The Last Resort Season 2, premiering Dec. 2 on TLC. 

Brandon and Julia, Ari and Bini, Gino and Jasmine, Rob and Sophie, Josh and Natalie, and Stacey and Florian will participate in a unique group couples retreat in Arizona, spending three weeks undergoing a rigorous relationship bootcamp aimed at repairing trust and building connections. Will the last-chance intervention work? While we’ll have to wait and see how it all plays out, there are some clues about the status of Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina’s marriage. 

Brandon and Julia have been married since 2020

Brandon and Julia made their TLC debut in 90 Day Fiancé Season 8. After connecting online and meeting in person, Brandon proposed to Julia during a trip to Iceland. Soon, she was making plans to move to the U.S. from Russia on a K-1 visa. 

Despite some challenges that came from living with Brandon’s parents, Brandon and Julia tied the knot in April 2020. They continued to share their story on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? They eventually purchased their own home in Virginia, and Julia focused on getting a job, though her desire to return to her career as a go-go dancer didn’t always sit well with Brandon. 

The ‘90 Day Fiancé’ couple are part of ‘The Last Resort’ Season 2 cast 

In October 2024, TLC confirmed that Brandon and Julia would be part of the cast for 90 Day: The Last Resort Season 2. Exactly what marital problems led the couple to join the show aren’t clear, but a snippet of a conversation in the teaser for the new season suggests that infidelity has pushed them to the brink. 

“She cheated on me,” Brandon says during a counseling session, which his parents are participating in via video chat. “You know that?”

“Now you bring this up?” Julia replies as Brandon storms off set.

Clues on social media suggest that Brandon and Julia were able to work through their issues and are still together today. The Last Resort filmed earlier this year, and both Brandon and Julia have been sharing posts on Instagram that indicate they’re still going strong. 

In the fall of 2024, they took an epic trip to Europe, where they visited Scotland, England, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, Greece, and Italy.

“Message to our future child,” Brandon captioned one post. “Sorry for the delay Mom and dad are kinda busy seeing the world.”

In another post, Brandon implied that he and his wife had come through a difficult time stronger as a couple. 

“There is a rainbow after the rain?” he wrote. 

While it appears that things work out for Brandon and Julia, that doesn’t mean it will be an easy journey on The Last Resort. 

“I have been strong for so long and now I have to open my soul and everything that has weighed on me, not only to my family, but to all of you,” she wrote after their casting was announced. “It will be difficult, emotional. Thank you to everyone who always writes warm words.”

90 Day: The Last Resort Season 2 premieres Monday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
